Ukraine War

This looks like a believable analysis to me. The other option is CIA involvement and instigation.

ah yes Kim Dotcom, the sweaty nerd in his basement who LOVES russia and all things Putin. I'm certain he is correct in his opinion that it wasn't a coup attempt and that everyone , not living in the 'west', loves putin. He's the best!

NATO/ US military/ US and foreign intelligence are all over Ukraine all the time.
This is Their war.
the Biden regime and EU is currently instructing their puppets in the MSM to change propaganda messaging, preparing the public for a U.S. /Western withdrawal as Ukraine has almost no military left.
Whether a coup or not the West has failed miserably, due to its extremely poor intelligence on Russias military capabilities, antiquated understanding of geopolitics, and generally absurd amount of hubris.

?????

I mean … ya … I guess we can only believe what we are being told … but this ^ is counter to everything we are being told by the MSM and at least the independent sources I have seen.

I too would like to know where your information is coming from.

Ukraine May very well end up losing, but to suggest that Russia’s military capabilities have been anything but a shit show …., I’d really like to know where that is coming from. Sounds like Russian, Commie, BS propaganda

So much of the right wing social media and msm right media is being influenced by moscow now. Call me a commie for not supporting trump and then report moscow talking points on the war.
Just bizarre compartmentalization.

Maybe it’s my age …. But …. ANYTHING that paints Russia in a positive light, anything, … should be met with a healthy level of skepticism … dare I say outright rejection.

Its nuanced for me but yah same. This is coming from a day 1 Iraq war non supporter. I had a good hunch we were blowing smoke. Putin got punked the last week. His media operation is sophisticated and deeply integrated with right wing media right now. Trump helped his western influence greatly. Which is partly why he thought he could get away with it.

Oh also i dated a russian who grew up in ussr. She was Jewish and their family got sanctuary in usa. Her love for putin when he rose to power and her families idolation of him and watching russian tv with them.. it was a lesson in authoritarian propaganda.

I dated a girl from the Czech Republic right after college. One night out boozing, one of my friends called her “Russian” and HOLY S* … she slapped him so hard, she about killed him.

she was an Au Pair, and I had to end it when she said “Easiest way for me to stay in country, is for me to get married.”

I’m a late Gen X’r, so I vividly remember the Cold War, the Berlin Wall coming down, when Rocky defeating the USSR, Wolverines!!!!!!!!, and Scorpions Winds of Change.

It is astonishing to me how some on the Right make excuses for Putin to score anti-Biden points.

Here is probably what @clempzenbill is referring to. Basically they are running out of bodies to field a capable fighting force. The most skilled, experienced, and capable ones have been eliminated already.

SOLVING AUDIO GLITCHES WITH JUDGE NAPOLITANO AND UKRAINE’S CLONE PROBLEM

Then there is Ukraine’s “clone” problem. What do I mean by that? I will again draw on a cinematic reference to make the point. Twenty seven years ago Michael Keaton starred in a low budget, but funny movie — Multiplicity. He found a way to clone himself with the ostensible purpose of being able to work more effectively, but with each succeeding generation of clone, the divergence from the original Keaton became more dysfunctional. The fourth iteration produced a mentally challenged individual.

So what does that have to do with Ukraine? We are nearing the moment when Ukraine is going to have to try to scrap together a fourth iteration of its army. The first was essentially destroyed in the first three months of the Special Military Operation. The second was finished off during the battle of Bakhmut and the third “clone” is being savaged in the much ballyhooed and long awaited counter offensive. As was the case with the four different versions of the character played by Michael Keaton, each new iteration of the Ukrainian military force is less capable and less experienced.

The Ukrainian military’s biggest deficit is the lack of experienced commanders — I’m talking about Lt. Colonels, Colonels and Generals. These ranks have killed and wounded and their replacements are taking command of units with little experience in commanding battalions and brigades. A good friend, who is a graduate of West Point and spent a good portion of his career in Europe, reminded me of this key principle the other day:

The breakdown in training comes at the higher levels, senior NCOs company and field grade officers.
Those are the guys that normally require years to train, drill, develop.
The normal cycle where a Captain or a Major would spend two years under the command of a Lt. Colonel or Colonel and learn by observing and doing does not exist in Ukraine. And do not forget the vital role played by talented 30 year old master sergeants, who provide guidance and counsel to inexperienced Lieutenants and Captains as well as experienced officers. One of Ukraine’s problems is that young officers are being rapidly promoted to command positions they have not been properly trained to assume because of the grievous combat casualties among senior officers. This may offer one partial explanation for the failure of the current counter offensive — e.g., inexperienced officers have employed tactics that a more grizzled veteran would avoid and they did not have a good NCO at their side.

It takes time and financial resources to reconstitute shattered military units. And Ukraine does not have the luxury of time. Apart from trying to cope with the staggering losses in manpower and materiel, Ukraine is under enormous pressure from its Western sponsors to show some major progress. That political pressure raises the likelihood of reckless, counter productive operations. If there is a fourth attempt to rebuild the Ukrainian Army it is likely to resemble version number 4 of the Michael Keaton clone.

Ive been doing some reading on Coen the evangilst and um starting to think there have been some informal agreements between Russia and the GOP evangelicals to support Putin due to his Christofacism. Hes a rockstar for evangelicals as hes forcing state Christianity.

People with connections in intel know what’s going on over there.
Russia has a much better military than people understand.
They use military satellites to identify targets and relay precise coordinates to precision guided stand off weapons and eliminate targets within minutes of them showing up on the battlefield.
Their pilots lack the training of ours and don’t have multimission competence but Ukraine has just about no air power left other than drones and few aircraft and helicopters the west is giving them- these are shot down pretty quickly. Russia doesn’t really need air power however since they can use stand off munitions to destroy opposition. The Russians have always fought differently and will cede non strategic ground to the enemy and then attack them with artillery, rockets and missiles.
Bakmut was a killing field for them. They deliberately left a couple roads open and repeatedly wiped out Ukraine forces dumb enough to keep using those roads.
Find some retired military and some honest journalists and you’ll see a totally different picture of how this exercise is going.
Ukraine never stood a chance and this is just a proxy war to try to maintain western hegemony and weaken Russia.

He doesn't seem to appreciate that he is the one constantly denigrating America. The total lack of self awareness is wild.

That is a whole novel you wrote that didnt answer the question. Pretty sure you still need to explain your source by name and not some make up amalgamous blob of people.

Everyone knows its part proxy war. But the dubious claim that Ukraine has no military left needs citations

I mean ....... ya ........ its 1980's Afghanistan 2.0, so of course its a proxy war.

and sure Ukraine may end up losing (I suspect it will go very much the way of Afghanistan for the Russians, they "win" but will deal with a well armed insurgency for years which further drains their coffers), but to assert that Russian's Military is anything other than a shit show, is just lunacy. Russia shouldve been able to steam roll Ukraine within weeks dare I say days, but here we are a year and a half later. They shouldve handled Ukraine similarly to how we handled Iraq ....twice.

and ... I dont like the idea of us sending money to a losing cause, but ... the intel we have learned about Russia's capabilities is invaluable. Additionally, Im sure we are live testing some new weaponry over there, better to test its performance on some Russian meat shields than dummies over at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.

buuuuut ya ....maintain western hegemony, strengthening alliances and weaken the Commie bastards??????? How are those bad things?

Dude. Trump LIKES Putin. Therefore Ukraine, America and everyone else that supporting Ukraine are automatically the bad guys. America's interests have NOTHING to do with this.

If Trump came out today and said that Ukraine was winning this war, he was supporting them, and that we should F Putin and Russia in general, all you'd hear in this thread would be crickets. AND thegatewaypundit would have 10 articles out tomorrow (which Growlz would then post) about how Ukraine was kicking Russia's ass that that Putin was going to be out of power in a week.

Interesting.

BUT you are missing the big picture here. Trump's followers believe in Trump. Not crazy things like what they actually can see and hear, or pesky things like facts. Trump is absolute truth. What he says goes, THEN you pick your "facts" to go with Trump's opinion.

Because the West is evil. The people. running the show are totalitarian leftists, if not overtly they have the same goal: one world government with total control over its subjects. At least Russia is just fighting for its own interests. The US has zero strategic interest in Ukraine, just like it had none in Iraq other than oil which was diminishing due to new technology.
As far a a protracted insurgency I highly doubt it, as Ukraines population has gone down to something lest than 15 million, and nearly all the men 18-60 have already been used up or fled the country the last year.

We’ll have to disagree on Russias military as I have heard from several people it’s the third most powerful in the world and they have possibly the best air defense weapons. They have a very sophisticated satellite targeting system and many precision stand off weapon systems. This is how they crushed the Ukraine forces systematically over the last year. You just won’t hear about it in the media. Russias military is the only one in the world to fight a real protracted conflict on the ground for many years. Everyone else is just simulating them and their forces have come quite a ways the last year and a half. The modern battlefield is completely different now than in Iraq or in a totally primitive country like Afghanistan.
Wars are now won by who has the best intelligence/recon/communications/drones and stand-off guided weapons. The future is here and it’s doesn’t include soldiers slugging it out on the ground with tanks, small arms and artillery as they are mostly obsolete until the other sides weapons have been neutralized. Russia has figured this out, and uses its forces intermittently and strategically as decoys. and waits for attack, backs off, and targets the enemy remotely.
