White History Month - Asians Now Classified As Whites to Skew Statistics

Understood. I liked several of Trump’s actual policies as well. I just don’t get the selling of the soul for Trump. Which doesn’t sound like you based off of your previous post.
I am not selling my soul for Trump,-isn’t saying that a huge over and misstatement.

Full disclosure: Asked a friend if the company was hiring. He said yes, but only minority candidates at this time (this was off the record fyi). Was told not to waste my time. Applied anyway and was not interviewed for position. Don't know if I was beaten by a better person or not, but those are the facts.

Understood and this is tough and why stuff like this needs some nuance.

I have hired literally 1000's of employees in my career. While I always try to get the best qualified candidate, those qualifications are fluid. For example, I recently had a position come open, we have seen a rise in Spanish speaking patients and ability to speak Spanish would be very helpful. Our office staff is also completely Caucasian and my patients base is much more diverse. If I could get good qualified candidates, hiring a person of color, who could speak Spanish was a goal. I was able to get multiple qualified candidates and managed to hire a Hispanic women, who is excellent and has done a great job for us.

My question to all would be, do you consider what I did to be discrimination? I was trying to get the most qualified person for the needs of my office and my patients base.

No that would not be discrimination. You are giving one personal instance, I would say that Asian/Americans with higher SAT scores not getting into Harvard because of their race as others are admitted with lower scores would be considered discrimination.

I used to work at Furman, and I sat in meetings where they discussed looking at the "whole picture" of a student as it pertains to admissions. They wanted to look at academic achievement, test scores, social engagement, extra curriculars etc.

What if there were two candidates, one white with a great SAT and good academic achievement, but they weren't involved with any groups at school, weren't involved in the community, maybe had gotten into trouble. Then you have another candidate who has good but lower scores, great bit lower grades, but very involved, high level of social skills, never gotten into trouble, very involved in civic groups such as Church, habitat for humanity, etc.

Who do you admit? Is it discrimination to not immediately admit the candidate with the higher scores? Should racial diversity on a college campus be something admissions looks at when trying to give a great education?

I use this example mainly to show that these cases require nuance. They aren't typically as cut and dry as people want to make it out to be. Just like my example about trying to hire a person of color so that my workplace is a better representation for our customer, rarely is the intention bad. I have been in those rooms and while there are some bad actors, the vast majority are literally trying to do the best that they can.

Are you white? If so, your family and ancestors did heinous shit, as did mine. That's not really debatable.

I really do wish you would address the question. Or anyone else on this board who claims to be a Christian Trump supporter. I’ve seen it asked by multiple times and the response is always, “….but Biden.”

I’m not going to make fun of your answer, I’m genuinely curious.

I use the Bible and my Christian faith as my guide/outline/life plan/compass and the stories in the Bible provide me solutions to modern day problems

Sometimes you have to interpolate and color outside the lines

Let’s for example use the 10 Commandments as an example with the Thou Shalt Not Kill

Let ‘s use that mantra and lets say Russia attacks the US

Are we to sit by and allow every citizen in the US to be slaughtered with no resistance like killing them

Or the Jewish Peope slaughtered on Oct 6

So despite the commandment thou shalt not kill
I personally am ALL IN ON KILLING ANYONE THREATENING MY PEACE AND SECURITY

Is that Christian Based on the basic mantra you would think not

But if you read throughout the Bible there are stories of Holy Men like David killing Goliath

So to be clear I want to have no violence against my fellow man and I restrict my needless killing of wild animals although I do hunt and fish and will take life sometimes unnecessary

So if you in any way are following my life values

I am not a mindless disciple of Trump

I cringe when he opens his mouth to HIT OR PUNCH BACK

It just does not look Presidential

The problem I have is that People like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden have accepted bribes from many foreign countries including Russia and China and sold America out

Then theres the SCIF classified documents

Both should have been found guilty and served jail time like some people who did far less and were slammed

So why will I vote for Trump

Every day and twice on Sunday

The liberal left , Democratic Party and closed mind people want socialism and communism to rule this country

These same perverted ideologies want DEI and ESG which is a curse to all decent freedom loving Americans

I am open minded wanting all people to have opportunity , literacy and be awarded based on meritocracy instead of equity which is inherent racist

And to be clear i din’t support the color of dkin being used for judgment

Black Supremacy , Privilege and Black Victimization instead of Agency needs to be crushed and instead we all walk unified as one America

So take that as a simplified explanation

You can buy the book when it comes out

So do you recognize you are voting for someone who has unashamedly broken most of the 10 commandments and fakes being Christian? And when I say fake being Christian, I don't mean, seems disingenuous and is going to Church for political points. I mean literally says he doesn't need to ask forgiveness from Jesus because he never did anything wrong, who can't name a single book of the Bible.

To add to that government actively recruits at Black HBCU colleges and hires far more Blacks in government offices than whites until they run out of black candidates

of course Fortune 500 companies being pressured on DEI hire same way but pigeon hole them doing worthless work until some prove out and they can promote based on merit

some claim discrimination and get promoted in a dead end career path hoping thr incompetence is promoted up until the resume gets the loser another company

thats why the companies throw a party for the person leaving

it’s a celebration

Why even know their race? Why should that be involved at all? Why not have candidate 1 and candidate 2? You can state that race does not enter into decisions and I will disagree

Maybe I’m being a bit over the top with my description, I think it’s fairly accurate when describing the evangelical Christian community and their blind loyalty. Perhaps, as I said previously, you are not the type of Trump supporter I’m referring to.

I’m referring to the type who refuse to acknowledge his moral failures. They also refuse to question anything the man says or does, and if one does question they are mocked and ostracized from their own party. And at the same time they act like he is some sort of Christian prophet from God fulfilling a global mission for all of mankind.

Whether you realize it or not, there’s an awful lot of those people out there. It’s cultish in my opinion.

Because race is a part of the picture of a whole person. Because interacting with and having a diverse population is important for a college. Part of preparing you for the world is learning to question. Sometimes when you meet other people from different backgrounds those questions change.

Do you recognize Joe Biden’s moral failures?

We will agree to disagree

Things I dislike about Biden:
- serial liar
- uses family tragedy for personal gain
- uses his drug addicted son to for financial gain

Non moral failure things I do not like-
-dementia (not his fault)
- I was encouraged that he continued with the Afghan pull out but has since proven he’s just as much of a war hawk as every other modern dem.

See how easy that is?

First of all Yoshi will take great exception to you as he thinks Biden has no faults. Now for my issues with Trump-has not understood to move on from 2020, says things that he does not really mean as his policies in 2017-2021 were much more rational and reasonable than what he said (lock her up, etc). Can not step away from tweeting and responding and just carry out policies

I think is pretty well accepted and has been shown, that college campuses are no longer a place where questioning is allowed. There is a narrative, accept it, be silent, or be cancelled.

Why do you guys argue with these scumbags?
Because if no one challenges them they assume everyone agrees with them and they become more and more radicalized. I've seen it before in previous cycles. It's dumb I know and I do realize when you wallow with pigs you are wading in shit but look .. we are all Americans and I ain't never giving up on American liberty. Which these morons don't seem to understand.

What advantages do white men have?

Your racism is showing.
I'll answer. We have generational education, acceptance and wealth compared to other minorities. Now if you grew up dirt poor like I did you might assume that, hey that's not true.... but you are very very wrong .

We can dive into it but you will probably just argue in bad faith and commit a thousand fallacies

Nope hiring for a necessary skill. If someone is hiring a sales person for a specific demographic and they hire a familiar face... well that's just good business.

You literally encourage homosexuality and blatant sin in church. Just don’t even start

Yep, we will just disagree.

I wake up and put on my pants one leg at a time just like everyone else. I’m not inherently better or worse than anyone else. I don’t owe anyone anything because of my skin color. #facts

Hey did you see how racist google is? They got exposed yesterday. Embarrassing.
