You really had to work to post a definition of Nazi that didn't actually describe the word itself, which is of course Nationalsozialist... or National Socialism... or the full name of Hitler's party: the National Socialist Workers Party.
So, yes, both platforms are primarily leftist* socialist platforms...and I would submit they are both deeply racist....but the democrats are certainly not Nazis.
(*) I can't, for the life of me, understand how anyone falls for the trap that they are extreme right-wing. They are socialist for goodness sake!

2024 will be interesting. There was zero enthusiasm for Biden, but enough enthusiasm against Trump for things to go blue in 2020. If Trump doesn’t run, who generates enthusiasm for the dems? Kamala? Mayor Pete?
Republicans have a much better bench. While he’s not my first choice, a Desantis + Tim Scott ticket would have the GOP pretty fired up.
DeSantis would also have the Dems fired up, probably the same as Trump. That dude is pure evil.
Buttigieg is great and I'd love to see him destroy Trump in a debate, but sadly I don't think America is ready for him yet.
Beyond that our bench sucks so we need to find someone not on the radar, now that Cuban and Newsome said they aren't running.

You think the mayor of a small town has the chops to lead the free world? He’s a well-spoken guy, but there is nothing on his resume that indicates he’s capable of such a role.
And lol at the “evil” rhetoric. He’s a bit of a populist, but Desantis isn’t evil. And he didn’t say he’d grab girls by the poosay. And he didn’t sleep with porn stars. And he doesn’t have a history of shady business dealings. And he isn’t as verbally abusive as Trump.
Yale, Harvard law, JAG. He has the pedigree and intelligence. He may win the gov race in a purple state by double digits.
I know plenty of women who are turned off by Trump because of what he represents. Even fathers of daughters who feel the same. None of that sentiment applies to Desantis. The reaction from those in the middle will be completely different.
I want to see how much his rhetoric changes once he is in an National Election. He has become a darling of the right because of his antics and probably less due to actual governance.
I'm in a wait and see mode with Desantis. I'm not a fan of the LGBTQ+ legislation and restraints on teachers he has advocated for.

Buttigieg is the Secretary of Transportation - that should count as well and it's a hell of a lot more experience than Trump had.
Trump was evil and dumb. DeSantis is evil and smart, which is more dangerous.
Like Trump, he seems to be unmoored by democratic principles and intent on waging political warfare. It may not matter to you since the war is against the left but he's building a nasty record of divisiveness.
- Despite there being no evidence of widespread fraud, he created an office of election integrity to investigate fraud. He promptly traveled to a Dem county and wrongly arrested 20 black voters for illegally voting even though they were issued registration cards and told they were eligible to vote. At the same time, he ignored the white Republican voters who were convicted of fraud and a scheme to put a ghost candidate on the ballot to siphon votes from the Dem candidate in a S. Florida race. This is flat out voter intimidation.
- He rammed through a new congressional map that eliminated two mostly black voting districts against the advice of the Republicans who were in charge of redistricting, giving his party a decided advantage.
- He pushed legislation that makes it more difficult to peacefully protest, including a provision that makes it legal to run over protestors that might be marching in the streets. This was clearly aimed at the BLM protests from 2020.
- Signed House Bill 233 that requires students and faculty to fill out a survey to declare their political beliefs, and assess what the governor calls, "viewpoint diversity" on public college campuses. This is clearly aimed at tamping down on liberals and his charge of "indoctrination".
- He signed the "Don't Say Gay" bill in an effort to squelch conversations about homosexuality and attacked Disney for speaking out against it. This has had a chilling effect on teachers who are confused about what they can and can't say. It's also disheartening for gay students and a clear attempt to keep them in the closet.
- He signed into law the Stop Woke Act to limit discussions of race in the classroom s, colleges and corporate diversity training seminars that might make white Floridians "uncomfortable".
- He withdrew funding for the Tampa baseball stadium because they expressed their concern about gun safety.
Now tell me why this would be good for the country?

Your characterization of some of those bills is highly partisan. I don’t know the ins and outs of all of them, but I did look up the “don’t say gay” bill. It doesn’t even mention the word gay…
It says that schools shouldn’t teach about homosexuality or trans until after 3rd grade. Do you think 1st, 2nd or 3rd graders should be receiving instruction on those topics at school?
This is a case of the coverage and spin around the bill generating more outrage than the actual content and intent. But that’s pretty much par for the course these days.
Protesters, no matter how peaceful, shouldn’t block public right of ways. Whatever they are protesting is important in their mind I’m sure, but they can’t stop people from commuting to the doctor or hospital, to work, to school and frankly anything else that a person wants to do. So yea, move or get moved.
Some of this may have been inflammatory, but it’s also pretty popular. Most people agree that we shouldn’t teach trans stuff to kids. Most people agree protesters shouldn’t block traffic for whatever reason they feel like. And all state governments gerrymander. It is what it is. And I suspect these more localized issues won’t be a focus at the federal level.
All states gerrymander, but desantis' was especially egregious. It reduced the voting power of black voters by 50% in the state of Florida. It will likely be overturned by the courts, but that won't happen until after the midterms, when it is too late.
Even the republican state senate thought it was too far.

Do you think the ban will magically be lifted when 4th grade starts or do you think it will have a chilling effect for all grades? How do you think this makes gay kids feel? It says to them loudly and clearly that they are bad and don't belong. It's an unnecessary, divisive law intended to give him more street cred in the MAGA world. Sad that it makes people like you feel good though.

I think your last point is valid - he’s not a unifier at this point. But neither is Biden, so I’m not sure a unifier will be on the ballot. Again why I’d prefer someone else at the top of the ticket.
Desantis’ (and many republican governor’s) approach to COVID was far better than the shit we saw in blue states. My quality of life was way better here in SC than my coworkers elsewhere. And he’s also right on vaccine mandates.
I don’t know about his surgeon general, or what he did to support those positions, but staying open for business, dropping masks as soon as appropriate and not mandating a vaccine for young healthy people was good policy. Most of the country now agrees as we have the benefit of hindsight.
I still don’t see how any of this makes him “evil.” Your argument is basically that he passed unnecessary legislation to ingratiate himself to his constituents. That sounds an awful lot like politics. And it worked. He will win by double digits in a purple state. I have an employee in Orlando and he says the people down there love him.
