Wow the state just reiterated phone info that had already been discussed in trial but didn’t provide any new evidence with that witness. Very strange unless it was like someone mentioned on Twitter and was simply to get the jury’s mind away from poor Owen testimony

At least the judge just reversed his earlier decision and is allowing Eddie and the roadside "shooting" into the trial. That's good for the prosecution.

I think they are trying to pinpoint the time of death by establishing that paul wasnt typically concerned about his phone dying and was not trying to conserve battery as the defense has suggested. His typical mode of operation was to let battery die and then plug in within minutes. I think the point is to establish beyond doubt that end of phone use correlates to the time of the murders.
Not sure but they may also be establishing the exact time when the phone "fell" out of Paul's pocket and was placed back against him Alex.
After today, this case may be over. The state pretty much lost their case today. The Lead investigator from SLED should also be let go.
That Aug interview was pretty telling imo. See how quiet he got when confronted about the video and what he was wearing? His first question was what time was that video? Detective says around dusk, “I guess i changed before we ate”.

This happened at Alex’s brothers house. Doesn’t eliminate the possibility that clothes or other evidence was burned. But to be honest, there are much easier and economical ways of getting rid of evidence.
True, but I think we all agree Alex wasn't thinking in a logical sense in the aftermath. So it wouldn't surprise me if he did it in the least effective way thinking it was the best way.
