⚖️ MURDAUGH MURDERS & TRIAL THREAD ⚖️

You know this, but people that are comfortable with guns often hold them all kinds of different ways. Poot is trying to convince everyone that it had to be against his shoulder 🤦🏻
I could see Alex trying to surprise them and shooting from the hip. Getting knocked over and 2nd shot from on 1 knee. Maggie backing away so the shotgun not as accurate and Alex shooting her twice in the stomach/hands with the AR with a laser sight. Then her turning and trying to run and Alex shoots her twice from behind.

Of course I am just guessing, but at this point I see no way Alex was not involved.

Just a cold hearted and brutal way to take out two people. Just completely ruthless.

By all accounts he was a loving husband and father up until that point so it makes it that much harder to believe he actually did it that way but the evidence certainly points to him knowing a lot more than he has offered.

Video I posted above posits AM took first shot, as Paul moved forward, AM steps back and trips on door threshold throwing him backwards to his back, and he shot upward into his son from that trajectory.

the weird thing was the sister said she had to talk Maggie into going to Mosell that night. It is almost like there is something going on but no one will talk about it. Was surprise the State didn’t ask, ”why did you have to talk her into going”?

She loved the beach and like to spend the summers there is what they claim and Alex can’t because he has to work.

Loving Father facilitates his alcoholic son buying booze? Prostitute says the Loving Husband was her customer and a weird one at that. AM had close contact with a convicted drug smuggler and indeed acquired his hunting property from that crook in a shady sort of way? By all accounts AM was stealing from his law partners, stealing from his clients, and lying to his wife about his income, long term finances and his drug abuse. "By all accounts" AM was a wreck of a man and had been for some time. Did the loving husband's wife have a clue about who AM was and what sort of troubles he was in? "By all accounts" AM was anything and everything but a loving husband and father unless those words mean something entirely different in Hampton SC than in the rest of the world.

Am I the only one that thinks Paul and AM probably struggled and that's how Paul was shot in the manner he was?

Maybe Maggie was the target. Paul intervened. Maggie ran while Paul and Alex fought. Alex shot Paul in the struggle and then had to finish him off. Maggie was shot while running away and then had to be finished off as well. Not knowing nearly as much of facts as you guys do, that's how I see it going down.
Could be Paul was the original target of “accidental” shooting by AM. Had his wife there as “witness” to accident, things got out of hand with Paul there was a second shot. Now can’t be accidental so takes care of the “witness” and hopes to get away with it?

Have you ever tried to fire a magnum turkey load or buckshot load without having it shouldered?

I can assure that if the first shot was not shouldered that the gun would have recoiled so violently that a quick follow-up shot wouldn't be possible.

I think a more probable scenario is the shooter was on his knee or sitting.
Might have knocked his teeth out

I saw that. Thanks.

I just thought of an additional motive.
Maggie called Paul “little detective” due to searching for and destroying Alec’s pills. When you are doing as many pills as Alec apparently was, you can develop a large hatred for anyone who takes them away. Paul and Maggie included.
Could also explain why he spent so much $$$ if Paul was destroying it.

Yep

I was first hand witness to a murder back in 1993 in which the murder weapon was a 12 gauge automatic shotgun and the way that guy was firing the weapon the angles being presented here in this case would’ve been almost exactly the same. Low, down to his side, angled upwards. Burned into my memory. Will never forget.

I would suppose that’s possible too. I was just stating that I’ve actually seen someone firing a shotgun at another person holding the gun down low at their side with the barrel angled upwards. The trajectory would’ve been very similar to what is being presented here. The person that was as murdered that I witnessed was also shot in the neck and head area. Thank God I didn’t see the person who got shot because they were inside of the building and the killer was outside of the building shooting into the front door.

Damn, that is wild. What led up to this is you care to say,if not no worries.

But,I also didn't see a big issue with the angles personally. If a man fires buckshot at a another at point blank,he's gonna think that's it. Probably naturally lowers the gun, then fires off a wild one as he stumbles out the door opening.

The drug angle is BS sure he probably had a small problem but
50k a week in any drug would be noticeable.
To fat to be 50k crack/crank/coke
50k heroin definitely noticeable
2 of 3 friends I lost to pills were all focking noticeable and they didn’t even come close to that amount
Now if you told me he was gambling 50k a week I’d totally believe that.

I have been wondering where the guns may have been stashed, but I have come up with a theory... AM and Paul had been riding the property earlier and since there is no one to testify (that they weren't in riding in one of the trucks)... What are the odds that AM loaded those guns on the side by side before they went for their ride... May have stopped and fired a few rounds at the "range" which would explain the spent shells found there... Also keeps Paul or Maggie from being alarmed that the guns are close by... State says Maggie fell against side by side that left an imprint on her leg, so we can deduce the side by side was parked close by murder scene...

I don't know, just spit-balling...

i haven't watched much of the trial. I dont ask to question your reasoning nor opinion, but just wanted to know the substantive testimony on which you based your opinion.
Not sure what yall are talking about but it was proven during Xexam that Owen provided false info to grand jury. Evidently he was supposed to testify Tuesday but couldn't because his mother died. So he was grilled Wednesday instead. It wasn't pretty at times.

Cheating
Parenting
Husbanding

Oh and the whole taking drugs thing too

Griffen asked Owen if he lied to Alec when he interviewed him. He said he was able to use trickery. Meaning he could lie and tell him that bird shot and buckshot were loaded in the shot guns at the house.

Griffen asked Owen if he mislead the grand jury as well. Owen said no.

Then Griffen played it back for him and he told the jury on the stand that the guns had birdshot and buckshot in them.

That is a lie and looks awful for the state. Dick will say 100 times if he was willing to lie to the jury, what other things did he manipulate in the case.

Owen should lose his badge for life. Many have lost their badge for far less.

Stop where you are! AM is broke so nothing to grab (because you're not cracking offshore with just this info); this trial and associated travesties teach that the day of judgment comes in a life of crime even to the Low Country's Mafia Don; and Clemson orange looks best perched in the cockpit of the witness stand on the good team rather than rocking and snorting at the criminal defense table.

Many allegedly have been killed over AM's financial empire....do not put yourself on that radar.

My guess is that he took them to Almeda in the blue raincoat and put them out back in the workshop.

Caretaker testified that he went to the workshop. GPS results also show the suburban back there. I dont remember all the exact details but there were enough bits to conclude that.

He may have moved them somewhere else later….

Ended up being a triple murder. Guy killed his ex wife, her new husband and the person he blamed for original breakup. Then supposedly burned himself up, however I’ve heard “hearsay” that he may have actually killed 4 people and got away with it and has been living somewhere in Canada for years.

Yeah the excessive money to drugs is highly skeptical bc he doesn’t look like someone who used the amount of drugs $50k a week would buy you. I’m still curious as to where all this money went.

Do we think he has funds hidden offshore or something like that?

I think it is safe to say he was not using $50k of drugs a week. My guess is the money is hidden offshore.

I think he spent money like a drunk sailor to maintain his lifestyle and was basically living paycheck to paycheck.

I understand it is hard to comprehend how someone can make a million per year and be broke but his monthly expenses were enormous. He was paying multiple employees to take care of his home, farm and dogs. Paying for upkeep of two homes. Probably had 10 vehicles, multiple boats, multiple ATV's, multiple tractors, kids in private school, kids in college. He had made multiple improvements to his farm (waterfowl impounds, shooting range, dove fields, barns, sheds, etc). Wife probably bought new furniture every year and high dollar clothes. Expensive family trips. It goes on and on. You could burn through 50K/mo in no time.
