⚖️ MURDAUGH MURDERS & TRIAL THREAD ⚖️

Statement from Big Red's lawyer:

“On September 4, it became clear Alex believed that ending his life was his only option. Today, he knows that’s not true. For the last 20 years, there have been many people feeding his addiction to opioids. During that time, these individuals took advantage of his addiction and his ability to pay substantial funds for illegal drugs. One of those individuals took advantage of his mental illness and agreed to take Alex's life, by shooting him in the head. Fortunately, Alex was not killed by the gunshot wound. Alex is fully cooperating with SLED in their investigations into his shooting, opioid use and the search to find the person or people responsible for the murder of his wife and son. Alex is not without fault but he is just one of many whose life has been devastated by opioid addiction.”
Why can't you people just leave him alone and see him for the "Dad of the Year" that the honorable Alex Murdaugh is!

ALL he was trying to do was give his last remaining heir 10M dollars while wiping out a drug pipeline in South Carolina that prey's on the helplessness of the extremely wealthy!

I wish more of you were as thoughtful and sacrificial as Alex!!!

Saw that. State Sen from Richland Dick Harpootlian is Alex’s lawyer. Admitted that money was taken from the firm and that most of it was used to buy drugs. Craig even said “that’s a lot of oxy” during the interview. Harpo also said that Alex thought that the insurance policy had a no suicide clause. That was true but only for two years after the policy was signed. Sounded like he could have committed suicide and Buster would have still got his 10mil.

He alluded to two things during the interview: 1) Alex was of the drugs and going through withdrawals and 2) He is flat broke and thought this was the only way to leave any sort of inheritance to Buster.
So, you own over 1700 acres of land, not sure how many homes, including one at Edisto Beach but you’re “flat broke”? Ok, I’m listening, not buying it, but still listening.

On the next episode of "The Rules Couldn't POSSIBLY Apply to Me..."

Jesus H Christ......

When all the details are out nationally, people across the country will be miffed at how this all went down.....conspiracy, hush money, good ol boy hunting lodge plans, big fish-small town privilege, elected official representation, mistresses, daddy protection for off the rails kids, et al.

Good people who've grown up in South Carolina: "Hold my beer...."

While the events that have transpired have been initially shocking, none of this is really surprising, TBH. These gingers are just really terrible at TRULY planning things out and covering their tracks.

Jury selection for these trials should be a real hoot....

Here’s an example of how evil this family is. Let’s pretend that Paul/Timmy didn’t push the babysitter down the stairs like everyone has said since it happened…

After killing the babysitter, Alex gets his buddies to sue his insurance, gets $500,000 to distribute between them and doesn’t even give a dime to her sons (one of them is special needs). AND doesn’t even pay for the funeral for a person that was “like family”.

Their evil knows no bounds…

Dirtbag lawyer, too bad the guy missed. Imagine all the cases we don’t know about where this clown ruined lives in the name of greed.

is there a TL; DR summary of all of this case? I've seen bits and pieces along the way, but feel completely lost since I havent kept up with since the beginning.

-Paul/Timmy was hammered driving a center counsel at night, stripped down to his underwear and hit a bridge, killing Mallory Beach
— no one was wearing a life jacket, fwiw
- Local fuzz and SLED botch the investigation from the start, Alex coaches the passengers on how to answer questions
- People mostly forget for 1.5-2ish years
- Paul/Timmy and his mother are found dead by Alex in the dog kinnils on the family property
- Murdaughs have either a trash compactor or ice maker in the kitchen
- FLASHBACK the local gay kid in Hampton County is found dead in the road a few years ago, ruled a hit & run despite inconsistencies with other hit & run scenes
- BACK TO PRESENT it’s theorized that Alex’s oldest, Dick Buster, was hooking up with Steven (aforementioned “hit & run” victim) and Paul/Timmy beat him with a baseball bat
- also theorized that Paul/Timmy pushed the nanny down the stairs and killed her
- @Howard's Jock and others played private school baseball in Columbia, internet reunion ensues
- many posters say they have connections that aren’t talking, adding plenty of useful pages
- I’m sure pornblade is involved
- nothing happens for a while
- Alex is shot at on the side of the road and it looks like a botched killing
- Alex releases a statement saying he’s resigning from the law firm and going to rehab
- Law firm says Alex was misappropriating funds from the firm
- Arrest made, Alex tried to make it look like he was murdered so that he could leave a $10 million life insurance policy to winner of the certified You Hate to See It Missed Opportunity of the Week Award, Dick Buster
- Always wear a life jacket

So this attorney Dick H is an elected official?!?! And we wonder why people don’t trust the people running this country. This guy needs to be jailed too!

Watch this video…
He went to Clemson and his nickname was the Poot............

That's in office now if you need clarification. Of course can't ask questions if Biden doesn't stay around to answer them.

Oh good grief, Moses smell the roses. What a pompous POS and his little entitled turd son as well.

And evidently allowed him to pay by check.

How does someone bilk their firm for millions over 20 years and not get caught? I don't buy that. Are accounts not reconciled? I promise someone (likely several) knew what was going on and were being paid off or threatened. I find it almost impossible that the office administrator or accountant didn't know.

That was my first thought as well. So the first lawyer runs with the "story" Alex wanted to tell saying it was a targeted killing. And Harpoolitan stated that he had been representing Paul in the boat killing case.

So this guy is involved with all these shady individuals and the citizens of SC are just supposed to trust him as an elected official? Not a good look.

This Harpoolitan guy is one trying to basically get the bars in 5 points closed down, all while he's representing and defending this corrupt guy/son when they're trying to get out of boat crash killing and all this other stuff.

Fits says suspect in custody is “known” to Alex
It's Eddie. Who is a cousin of some sort. So it was - no shvt - Cousin Eddie.

"If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now."
How could dude miss a head that big?
Head shots aren't as easy as you might think. The skull is a complex curve so it's easy for a low-power bullet to follow that curve and skim along the skull rather than penetrate. Probably still feel like you got hit with a sledgehammer and do a helluva lot of soft tissue damage, but won't kill you.

Or so I'm told.
The question is, how many people would be dispensable in order to save Alex Murdaugh’s own life?

I personally believe he would Nuk the whole County of Hampton if t meant he lived one more day.

BTW, I have family who saw “distraught” Alex Murdaugh just a few days ago out in the River on a boat in Beaufort County. He might be distraught, like his lawyers say, but that day he didn’t seem to have a care in the world…
So now Nuk is involved?

Look - I get it. He rubs some the wrong way by claiming Daniel High School instead of Clemson. But there is a long road from that, to destroying an entire county.

:p :p
and team Murdaugh isn't above paying off a juror.
With what? They seem to be broke.

He is probably the firm's principal owner and likely that - combined with the family's reputation - have everyone scared to point out a problem.

I'd think that at some point an outside firm would do an audit but....

I know Alex is expected to be arrested today, but can't help but think he still gets different treatment. Eddie was locked up right away, so it's common sense that Alex is at least guilty of filing a false police statement/conspiracy/insurance fraud right? Why not book him and have a judge put him on house arrest when he's bailed out? I know hes supposedly broke, but I would still consider him a flight risk and/or a risk to fuggin kill someone, or himself.

Knowing or even suspecting he was milking the company, would you confront him when you knew he might make you disappear?
So many hypothesis about what was or might have been going on for years ....The movie "The Firm" does come to mind

Here is a decent timeline of events...

Timeline

Okay, updated Bosch theory based on recent added events and assumption that Alex is guilty...

1. Alex has an opioid addiction, mistress, has been embezzling millions from his firm to support his lifestyle, and is broke.

2. Alex is tired of cleaning up after son Paul's long string of misery that includes a nanny, brother's gay liaison, house keeper, and finally Mallory Beach, the last of which is about to result in the start of a wrongful death trial, which will result in a catastrophic audit of his finances that will uncover his embezzling.

3. Alex is enjoying life with his mistress and over his wife. His wife is tired of the affair and about to file for divorce, which will also result in a financial audit. He also needs her life insurance proceeds since he is broke and probably being blackmailed.

4. Alex decides to kill two birds with one stone and hires a pair of hitmen. The hitmen show up at his property at a designated time that allows Alex to have an ironclad alibi. One rounds up the son with a shotgun while the other rounds up the wife with a rifle and takes her phone away while doing so. Both are brought to the kennel area and shot twice. The phone is tossed out of the car window down the road after leaving the property. Alex "discovers" the bodies an hour later.

5. Three months later SLED uncovers the financial anomalies and reports them to the firm and solicitor. The solicitor then publicly recuses himself due to his relationship with Alex since Alex now being accused, not a victim or witness.

6. Alex feels the world is crashing in on him, wants to commit suicide and leave his only remaining son some wealth which he can only do with $10M in insurance money since he is broke. Alex, already with experience hiring a hitman and the thought of collecting fraudulent insurance money, hires the hitman to help him commit suicide. The shot doesn't kill him, turns out that he pulled off the road in view of a church security camera, and the whole debacle was caught on camera.

7. Alex issues his apology and heads into hiding at a rehab.

8. SLED is able to identify the shooter from the camera video and arrests both the shooter and Alex on multiple charges.

9. You just can't make this shvt up, and it gets better and better. The saga continues...

Okay, here is an alternative Alex is innocent of the murders theory...

1. Alex has an opioid addiction, mistress, has been embezzling millions from his firm to support his lifestyle, is broke, has a son that has killed multiple people, is named in a wrongful death lawsuit, a wife about to divorce him, and the latter two of which will uncover his embezzlement.

2. There are many people pissed off at Alex and someone decides to kill his family for revenge, which is a huge positive windfall for Alex given his circumstances.

3. F'ck it. Who are we kidding. He is guilty as hell.

I just don't see how you don't have Alex under 24/7 watch of 2 or more guards in a prison as he is an obvious suicide risk much less a flight risk.

Most of our legislature is comprised of attorneys and a bunch of them are defense attorneys. Harpo is just one of the best in SC.

I wonder if the ginger offspring referred to Harpootlian as “Uncle Willy” at the annual Thanksgiving morning deer hunt at Moselle, which I’m sure he received an invitation to every year.
This whole thing reeks of wealthy white privilege, and honestly I can’t wait to see the whole lot of ‘em strung up by the balls, if there’s any left standing when the dust settles.

Sorry not sorry.

I am very sorry for the families of Mallory Beach, Stephen Smith, Famsquad of Nanny, and countless others that have most likely been harmed/manipulated.

The SOB had something to do with the murder of his family, that is obvious. Whether indirectly or directly his actions over the last however many years result in the current situation today (all of it). And, if you ask me, the low country has been spared any further damages from the actions of Paul. Ain't nuthin Good Ole about this son of a bitch.

White privilege, no, but wealthy privilege, absolutely. You're ignorant if you think that white people are the only ones who act like this if they have power and money.
