How could dude miss a head that big?
Yeah, someone posted a pdf of the charging document on Reddit and they referred to AM as the “Co-Defendant” throughout. Makes sense given the conspiracy charge and statements attributed to Alex in it that he hatched the plan. Can a person be arrested/detained without it being made public? He gave a statement to SLED yesterday so I imagine he’s locked up
My theory is that they nabbed Eddie first at charged him with a laundry list of stuff in an attempt to get him to spill the details on Alex and what else he knows or has been involved in (the murders). He will likely give them even more evidence to solidify the charges against Alex.Yeah, someone posted a pdf of the charging document on Reddit and they referred to AM as the “Co-Defendant” throughout. I suspect two streaming services will have series. I just hope it’s done well. I could see one that’s a docu series with a bunch of interviews from locals, old footage of the characters, and some re-enactments. And another that has a full slate of actors to make it a drama series or movie.Holy twists & turns Batman.
Bet this is already in pre-production w/Dateline and movie scripts are already being developed....🤣
I think Maggie had a 6 million dollar pay-out...but it is being held by the insurance company...Arranged for someone to kill him for a 10 million life insurance payout to Buster.
Is it that or is it that he had a part in the killing of the family ?Arranged for someone to kill him for a 10 million life insurance payout to Buster.
Statement from Big Red's lawyer:
“On September 4, it became clear Alex believed that ending his life was his only option. Today, he knows that’s not true. For the last 20 years, there have been many people feeding his addiction to opioids. During that time, these individuals took advantage of his addiction and his ability to pay substantial funds for illegal drugs. One of those individuals took advantage of his mental illness and agreed to take Alex's life, by shooting him in the head. Fortunately, Alex was not killed by the gunshot wound. Alex is fully cooperating with SLED in their investigations into his shooting, opioid use and the search to find the person or people responsible for the murder of his wife and son. Alex is not without fault but he is just one of many whose life has been devastated by opioid addiction.”
This is in Hampton County, not Colleton.
Whole bunch of people were taking advantage of Alex here 😂😂. That’s the funniest statement I’ve seen a lawyer put out in a while.Love the little "Alex is not without fault" at the end, after pretty much blaming everything on predatory behavior by shadowy individuals. You can't play the victim when you're the biggest fish in your little pond. His family was the alpha group of that whole area.
I buy it. The walls were closing in on big red. Time was up. He was going to be arrested for fraud/embezzlement and be ruined financially. Likely, he was going to be tied back to the murder of his wife and son. So dying and gifting a bunch of money to Buster seemed like the quasi noble thing to do, given the circumstances.Ain't buying the insurance story. A good ol' boy don't miss a guy who's sitting there wanting to be shot dead.
Good lord, even OJ thinks this is BS.Statement from Big Red's lawyer:

I especially loved "what did you say? you're breaking up on me"'Ol Dickie P was shook on the TODAY show.
Hats off to the TODAY anchors for asking hard questions
Wonder if Eddie was able to prove where he was on June 7th61-year-old Curtis Edward “Eddie” Smith is in police custody in connection with the shooting.
I found this on another news site.
Saw that. State Sen from Richland Dick Harpootlian is Alex’s lawyer. Admitted that money was taken from the firm and that most of it was used to buy drugs. Craig even said “that’s a lot of oxy” during the interview. Harpo also said that Alex thought that the insurance policy had a no suicide clause. That was true but only for two years after the policy was signed. Sounded like he could have committed suicide and Buster would have still got his 10mil.Craig Melvin gave murdaughs lawyer Dick Harpootlian a pretty hard time on the Today Show this morning. It was obvious the defense will focus on opioid addiction and mental instability.
So then explain to me his reaction after being shot? Eddie doesn’t just leave if he isn’t dead right? If you shoot someone in the head and they’re still conscious don’t you shoot them again? How about the “multiple shell casings” that were found? Is Eddie that stupid and that bad of a shot? Then Alex picks up the phone and scrambles together this whole story?I buy it. To bad they don't ask those hard questions to Democratic politicians.'Ol Dickie P was shook on the TODAY show.

Apparently drug dealers take checks these days. That’s pretty comical. No way in hell is anybody moving that much of a drug taking a check.Saw that. He alluded to two things during the interview: 1) Alex was of the drugs and going through withdrawals and 2) He is flat broke and thought this was the only way to leave any sort of inheritance to Buster.
