⚖️ MURDAUGH MURDERS & TRIAL THREAD ⚖️

It’s an alternative theory on the events in archers creek. He presents conflicting info on who was driving the boat.
I found his take unconvincing. It's a good defense attorney's argument for getting to reasonable doubt about Paul driving, but this isn't a court of law.

Surprising about Keel. Only heard good things about him. But if 1/4 of the rumored shenanigans are true I am sure every top legal person in the state will be looking for a fall guy.

Enough about coaching changes and offense ineptitude.

where’s Alex, what’s Poot’s next statement going to be about, and what’s the latest with SLED?
This. Football is depressing.

Fox News special Sunday night about Murdaugh Murders included tidbit that Randy Murdaugh was the 2nd call that Stephen Smith's family received after Smith's body was found. (The first call was from the coroner.) Randy Murdaugh offered to represent the family for free, which the Smith family found odd. Additionally, Randy was on scene before the body was removed.

We can only speculate why Randy Murdaugh inserted himself into the Smith situation. Was this (1) traditional ambulance chasing by an attorney, (2) potential involvement of his family member that needed redirection either at the scene or with a potential litigant (a la Gloria Satterfield), or (3) [fill in the blank].

The plot thickens a lot with this news.
Yep, Alex's potential motive appears to be pretty clear:

Stop any financial investigation that would uncover his embezzling by eliminating the divorce and boat accident case, not to mention the insurance windfall from his wife's policy.

Now they have to be able to prove it.

Randy deserves a cell right beside Elec. the family has made a mockery of the constitution for long enough!

hope the Saterfield, Beach and Smith family’s end up owning Moselle.

I hold steady on the grandfather orchestrating it the whole time. He knew he would be dead and gone by the time he got caught so no big deal. And he could have "protected" his sons from ruin by eliminating Maggie and Paul.

An interesting angle, but do you think Alex would have told his father about the embezzlement? Can't see him killing Maggie just over the divorce. Maybe his grandson for the string of deaths, but even that seems a stretch.

But who knows...

I just hope that they solve the case one way or another and it just doesn't hang out there and get cold. With all of the focus and attention, you would think that is has to get solved. My guess is that things may quiet down until November when court proceedings start again. Eddie's proceedings are going to be very interesting. I'm still not buying Alex calling 911 over a failed staged suicide attempt.
