Interesting. Withe the checks going from $20K/month before the murders to $200K after, sounds like he must have known who killed them and was trying to catch up on payment before he and/or his other son got killed.
Either that or the increased amounts were for something else all together.

@tigerjimp
Meh, re-read.
It said they ranged to $20k/month before the murders and then $200k since June.
So if we assume 5 payments totaling $200k. That's a jump to be sure - a double - but not the 10x it reads like

Bull $h!+… you think Dylan Roofs attorney who was trying to get his conviction overthrown and death sentence done away with is a good person? People caught red handed that admit to doing a crime such as Dylan Roof should be tried one day and put to death the next
This response is particularly idiotic. The writer is calling for the sort of justice prevalent in dictatorial regimes where citizens are accused on day 1, tried on day 2 and executed on day 3. He should live in such a place.

So you think insanity should be a reason for someone who is without question guilty to avoid punishment? Swift punishment for those caught red handed and WITHOUT DOUBT of guilt is what is needed.
The only thing idiotic is why people like Roof are still alive

Assuming he is found to be insane, do you really think he’s going to avoid punishment? It’s not like they are going to turn him loose on the streets.

Do you want Uncle Sam, or Uncle Joe to determine the cases without doubt?
Or how about that solicitor family name of Murdaugh down in Colleton County?

I'd like to continue to determine guilt by a jury of peers. And I'd like the attorneys who defend people the government wants to jail or kill to have as much power of the law on their side as the government has in the court.

You do know our government has and continues to coerce confessions, don't you? And you do know I suppose that American citizens are split about 60-40 on the death penalty, right? And I suppose you know that about 10% of the people on death row awaiting death are eventually cleared of guilt in the cases for which they were sentenced to die, right?

So all I have to do is link a competing website of TI and this thread will get zapped and go away?? @Cris_Ard 😎 I kid, I kid.

Interesting point. Maybe up front payments verses balance due.

Or totally unrelated to the murders and just another piece to toss on the pile.

Step 1, secure the accused. Step 2, secure the assets. Step 3, allow the judicial process to unfold. Step 4, if the system works, justice prevails on evidence.

Hearing today over whether independent representatives should take control of the money and other assets of AM, involved in a half-dozen state police investigations.

Step 2 Complete. Assets frozen.

Well, as many of you have seen. A yet-to-be arrested suspect (or suspects) is/are alleged to have murdered two members of the Murdaugh Family last night.

I have been told who was murdered, but I will let the proper people release those names at the proper time. Besides, there is always the chance my information is incorrect.
Potentially a dumb question, but what is the Council of Kinnils, Jr? And how does it relate to the Murdaugh(s) case?

you need to go to TMB and read the counsel of Kinnils thread there. It may be covered somewhere in the first 60 or so pages.......

Has something to do with the bodies were found near the dog kennels or something, but I am not sure exactly where the name came from.

If you read this entire thread it’s answered here. Pretty sure EssoPorch explained it.

We on the main board are lovable degenerate idiots

The thread started regarding Timmy's killing of Molly Beach when he crashed the boat. There was a lot of discussion about the boat crash and at one point someone referenced being a "center council boat". Then when Timmy was shot, the shooting happened down in the area of Moselle where the dogs live. Someone on tMB posted this news referencing "Timmy being killed down by the kinnils"

After the case went nationwide and seemingly involved so many prominent people it was determined that it was best to remove the name Murdaugh from the topic so that the thread wouldn't get deleted

At that point, @.Hank , had the genius idea of changing his thread title to "Council of Kinnnils". There are way more egregious misspellings throughout the main board thread as well.

Thank you! That's been bugging me.... lol

Yep! The Murdaugh’s are plenty rich and nothing close to broke as Poot is describing. Could it be the law suit against his brother is just to make sure assets stay in the family? Could it be that the reason for the larger checks for “narcotics “ was just an asset transfer?
Seems like a lot of trouble to just get 90k.

I’ve done over a thousand evals for the court system. He clearly had the capacity to conform based on his actions to try to get away with his crimes. No question. I work mostly with juveniles and don’t have his case but I was involved with the Townsville shooting.

And after committing those crimes and while incarcerated he was able to cherry pick which lawsuits to confess judgment to - his brother and one of his former law partners. I would think someone without capacity wouldn't continue strategically planning who to ensure gets paid before those who've had lawsuits pending for years. AM continues to amaze.

I suppose Palmetto State bank had a crooked employee who cooperated with the Murdgaugh gang to defraud the housekeeper's family out of $4+ Million Dollars. When the crooked employee fraud came to light, the bank agreed to pay more than the defrauded $4+ million to the family in exchange for some PR statements that Palmetto Bank was full of good guys doing the Lord's work and now making the victim's family more than whole.

Palmetto State Bank is headquartered in Hampton, South Carolina. Palmetto is now a one half billion dollar institution with seven branches serving Beaufort, Allendale, and Hampton counties.

Who believes this is the only shady deal Palmetto made with and for the Murdaugh gang?

How is the action by the bank not criminal? Agent of the bank commits bank fraud, wire fraud, etc, etc??? Am I missing something? No federal laws were broken?

Podunk bank needs to be investigated. No way this was an isolated incident.

I know one of the owners and highly doubt she was in on anything scandalous….although AM did take her to a debutante ball back in the day…..or at least so I hear!
yeah, I looked them up. Bank has been around for a long time. I think (my opinion only) is that maybe this involved a rogue employee.

I will give you a good one.

Employee of a bank here in Augusta allowed my Uncle to cash out 400k in CDs that were in my Grandmothers name.

When my Mother found out....let's just say my Uncle is now broke and living off his SS, the employee at the bank will never work in the banking industry again and that bank gave Mother a lot more back than the 400k just to get her to call off the dogs

Small banks do a lot of business based on relationships. If you know a banker well and have been a customer for a long time and he believes in you, then the bank will do business with you, while asking not too many questions. The small bank 'knows' you are good for the money and the bank is not going to be the stuckee.

Any bank headquartered in Hampton SC has 3 generations worth of confidence in the Murdaughs. It seems likely the bank was used by the Murdaughs. And that the bank made money off the Murdaughs for 3 generations. Some say the fish rots from the head on down. The bank may know now their complete confidence in the Murdaughs were misplaced. Maybe the bank is an innocent victim. But I am a suspicious guy when it comes to what bankers will and will not do for good clients in order to make a buck.
