The latest Mandy Matney podcast is awful. Every argument that Harpootlian makes is, according to her, "shocking." Really bad journalism.

Just tell us what happened and turn your sanctimony down a few notches.

Fortunately, she has cracked this case open, and without her, I doubt anything would have ever come of this tangled web.

Unfortunately, she’s lost objectivity (though I do believe she’s following the facts/leads) and the podcast audio is cringeworthy at times. I’m sick of hearing “shocking” and “I. Do. Not. Knoww…” and “good ol boys”

Poot is a trainwreck and really not sure his strategy, but he must be so hellbent because of some other past dealings or skeletons. My parents live in Irmo and he’s their rep, but prior to this case I knew nothing about him. I hope this saga derails his career and reputation entirely.

If they reported one negative thing that was not true about AM, then they would get sued and be out of business in short order, as they should. You may not like them, but I don’t think they are dumb enough to make things up, at least on this story.

I know someone who’s walked in the circles with the top legal community In SC and knows the FITS guys as well.

1) I truly believe that FITS slept with Nikki Haley. I think those who know, have no doubt this happened and it wasn’t only the FITS dude, but “it never effected her work, so I always felt it was none of my business.”

2) I’m glad they are unraveling some of the dirty ways things have been done for so long, and I do think they’ve had an effect.

She shows her complete lack of understanding, experience, and knowledge of the "big world" the way she characterizes what happens in court. You'd really think she's never been in a courtroom before and heard a smooth-talking defense lawyer zealously advocate for his client.

Yeah, some of what they say can be absurd and preposterous. And you probably don't agree with 90% of what they say. But it happens. Every day.

Strange that so many in here defend Harpootlian’s shitty defense of his client in court. He insulted the victims that were to speak in this bond hearing. That’s not a great way to get your client out of jail. He also never explained what new circumstances have arisen since the judges ruling that should cause her to change her mind.

I don’t care for Matney’s personality but the latest podcast had a decent amount of “news” including the crazy bit about Alex having facial injuries and fist injuries on him in Monday’s hearing. Strange that Dick wouldn’t use whatever fight occurred as evidence that his client is suffering in jail. I also could not believe that the receivers haven’t found any life insurance for Paul or Maggie. Anyone have thoughts on that?

But she's also done a good job of calling out the complete BS and contradictions spewed by Poot/Griffin that noone else has been willing to, or just hasn't been paying attention to, in the past. Their game is to throw enough shit against the wall and get people's heads spinning while she's been tracking their every move...and they don't like it.

Did you know that Alex’s jailhouse phone calls have been recorded and the prosecutor revealed that Alex has been trying to get his family and friends to deposit money into other prisoner’s commissary accounts?

Did you know that Alex has ownership in several small islands off the coast that he shares ownership of with a dead drug smuggler Barrett Boulware? (He is the previous owner of Moselle, Maggie’s house and land).

Those two things came from the prosecutor and testimony of the receiver the court has appointed not Matney but she did report on those items in her podcast.

Yes! The underwear claim had me rolling! I have a feeling the money he was trying to get others to loan Buster has zero to do with golf and drinks and will be used for nefarious purposes.

For the non-listeners, Harpootlian actually lied to the judge and said ketchup costs $5 in the commissary and there is a limit of $60 per week for his account so Alex has been begging family to put money into other prisoners’ accounts because they have buy Alex’s tighty whiteys!
