Might not be a bad week for lunch at Zorba now that you mention it.I've got a connection to the case. I know a lot of local lawyers and they are the worst gossips in the world.

I don’t watch the news at all. But this thread is probably the most popular thread that’s been on this message board since I’ve been a member. You should take the time to read the 70 plus page thread man. You’ve missed a lot 😂I don't watch much news.
Do you think it's hard for them to get your email address? And am I using my real name?
Haha I'm just playing, just haven't seen this thread on the page 1 in ages.I don’t watch the news at all. They have that anyway.Do you think it's hard for them to get your email address?
Serious question...
Why did he not kill his other son? Just decided to kill his wife and 1 son and live like nothing ever happened with his other boy?
Other son wasn't home at the time eitherSerious question...

His other son wasn't there, and he had not been in trouble like the one he killed.Serious question...

Because his other son didn't have pending criminal charges.
Other son wasn't home at the time either
Ahhh gotchya. So this was an opportunistic murder or was it planned? His other son wasn't there, and he had not been in trouble like the one he killed.
Looks like everyone at SLED is on the list. Gotta feel sorry the last guy that got his name added at he last minute. He thought he dodged a bullet.A guy that I roomed with, for a semester at Clemson, is on that witness list.
I don't know if it was planned. One theory is his wife was filing for divorce and that was going to bring up all of his financial shenanigans and the son was just a casualty. Or the son was the target because of all of his legal trouble, and the wife was a casualty. It's going to be an interesting trial. Hell, if I thought I could get in I'd drive down there to watch a couple days when they start the prosecution.Ahhh gotchya. So this was an opportunistic murder or was it planned?
Was the wife the main target?
I’ve followed along early, but stopped once he was finally arrested so haven’t seen anything since.
I guess you could argue the son killed his mom and Alex killed him because of it.Serious question. Why does everyone assume he killed both? Just seems to be some dots that are hard to connect in that story.
Why would he use two different weapons? Why would he kill them on his own property and not try to cover it up? Plenty of places in that part of the world to hide bodies.
I feel like it’s plausible that he owed someone bad a bunch of money or at the very least he was being blackmailed. Why else would he steal so much money is such a way he had to know would get him caught one day? Just smells of desperation in my opinion.
So let’s say he tried to not pay….or he was behind on payments? Do you think they might threaten his family? Maybe even kill then in front of him?
Why couldn’t there be others there involved?I guess you could argue the son killed his mom and Alex killed him because of it.
But I assume they have evidence that he had blood spatter from both victims on his shirt. I'm sure they can tell with DNA. If the son had splatter from killing his mom and Alex only had spatter from killing his son, they should know either way from the evidence.
You gotta be kidding me here. I thought they already disclosed it was a long rifle and a shotgun. That was just the forensics evidence for the shot impacts? They just said on the news that no firearms have been found at all, at Moselle or elsewhere.
So they killed his wife and son in front of him, but he has kept his mouth shut and is willing to go to jail for the rest of the life to protect them? Because he is so scared of what they will do?Serious question. Why does everyone assume he killed both? Just seems to be some dots that are hard to connect in that story.

It’s the only thing that makes sense to me.So they killed his wife and son in front of him, but he has kept his mouth shut and is willing to go to jail for the rest of the life to protect them? Because he is so scared of what they will do?
Only way that makes sense to me is if he is scared they will kill the other son. Otherwise I can't see him taking the blame and spending the rest of his life in prison for something he didn't do.It’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
I guess that was from ballistics and the shells found. But they said none of the guns were recovered. So evidently Alex took them somewhere or someone else took them somewhere. You could argue that means all kinds of different things, but if he had blood spatter on his shirt, then he was on the scene, and I imagine that could tell if he was the shooter or just someone standing nearby. You gotta be kidding me here. I thought they already disclosed it was a long rifle and a shotgun. That was just the forensics evidence for the shot impacts?

I believe it has been reported as an AR15 and a shotgun. Definitely not two weapons you’d think one person would carry at one time to kill his wife and sonYou gotta be kidding me here. Has anybody seen that snapchat video? I searched for it last night and couldn't find anything. It’s going to be tough to provide a motive that satisfies the jury for killing the boy. But if evidence is available for Alex shooting him then motive is secondary. The SnapChat video must be a convincer for showing Alex’s frame of mind prior to Paul being shot.
I keep hearing stuff like this. I am born and raised in SC with lots of family. I had never heard of these folks until this crime. They were nobody’s.most damning evidence that I learned in last week was that Alex asked wife to meet him at Moselle to go see his dad when she was at beach and could have met him at hospital
Maggie texted friend that it was strange and she didn’t know what he was up to
Also - other than the 911 phone call has he even cried once?
I mean no one is that emotionless are they?
His world caved in when he was sued because of the Beach boat death - Alex had no appreciation for how much he had on the line
which, in and of itself, is amazing since that was his profession - shows how low he had gone and how he was a shell of man
I think that shell realizes he had cost the family their “100-year empire”
there are no winners here

I’ve watched Ozarks, Narcos, The Wire and Breaking Bad too many times to agree with you.Only way that makes sense to me is if he is scared they will kill the other son. Otherwise I can't see him taking the blame and spending the rest of his life in prison for something he didn't do.
This is what I think happened. I don’t think he realized Paul would be there. Paul was checking on his friend’s dog that was being kept in the kennels. No way Alex knew what time he would be at the kennels. Or he may have killed Maggie first and Paul was a witness, so he had to get rid of him. - Mrs. ShoveTheory: Alex lured Maggie there and didn’t expect to see Paul who dropped by to check on his friend’s dog.
Alex “accidentally” (true accident, or on purpose hoping it would look like a accident, I don’t know) shot Paul 1x, realized the extent of what he did then shot him again to “fix” it, and dropped the shotgun.
Picked up a rifle (AR) to follow Maggie as she ran out knowing he needed to eliminate witnesses, (she was potentially his target anyway), which is why he stood over her for the execution shot.
Everything he’s done is based on cover up or entitlement. I believe in his twisted way, this was a quick solution to stop the financial investigations that were bearing down on him.
