81 million votes

🤝 the way it should be. the sad part is it seems the court has gotten more and more partisan over the last 30+ years? when was the last time you had a justice get elected with extensive bipartisan support? Roberts? Maybe Sotomayer? Definitely Brayer and RBG, but there's been nothing as unanimous as them ever since

The political left wants justices that will push their social agenda. Those of us that are Originalists want people who will just do as I stated above. That's not going to fly with the left. Neither party is going to do anything that supports the other side in any way.

i know we didnt cheat.
I agree with your other statement, lots of people weren't voting for Biden, they were voting against Trump. But no, lol, you know y'all cheated, and I know you're not stupid enough to believe what you said. Gamecocks know they suck, but they would never admit that to a Clemson fan.

You don't get to cry and whine and claim that requiring a valid ID to vote is racist and voter suppression, and then try to say that there was no funny business. If there wasn't any cheating, why were the vote counting observers forced out of the buildings?

Biden got about 45-50 million legitimate votes. All the rest were bogus; duplicate votes, dead people votes, fake votes, etc.

What jumps out at me is how is Kagan a SC Justice when she has never been a judge in any capacity?

As to the rest, I imagine you could come up with a similar list for any of them that would make their column more full than the others.

This tells me two things about you. One, you seem to think what someone looks like matters more than what's inside and I don't get that. People are people and once you learn that, you can see everyone a new way. I am just sure that was the point of the whole Civil Rights Movement. Let me read and see if that's the case.... yep, it was. Content of character rather than color of skin. Check!

Second, I don't want people to rule my way. If you've ever read anything I posted you'd know that. I want jurists that support the meaning in the Constitution. Frequently, that's going to lead to decisions I don't like. THE one and only job of a Justice on the Supreme Court is to determine the Constitutionality of each case. It is not to advance social causes, not to advance new meaning not previously held in our founding documents. It is not to do what we think is right. It's simply to uphold the Constitution.

From there, we the people can make new laws, pass new amendments, work together to create solutions to the problems that come from SCOTUS rulings. Just consider the horrendous evil of the Dred Scott ruling. That's what happens when the politics of the time poisons the Court. If you think we're immune to those kinds of mistakes now if we play politics through the court, you're just being willfully blind. The political leanings of a nominee to the Court doesn't matter to me. I just want someone that will strictly adhere to the Constitution and help Americans see that we have all the tools we need to work together to improve our country when things come up we don't like.
Sure sure, so why did you imply she wouldn't follow the Constitution?

"Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson may not be an originalist, but she sounded like one in her confirmation hearings this week. “I believe that the Constitution is fixed in its meaning,” she said on Tuesday. “I believe that it’s appropriate to look at the original intent, original public meaning, of the words when one is trying to assess because, again, that’s a limitation on my authority to import my own policy.”

What jumps out at me is how is Kagan a SC Justice when she has never been a judge in any capacity?

I'm not disputing that he "should" be a party asset but does being a good guy even matter in your party anymore - serious question? Are you denying that all candidates now try to secure an endorsement from Trump and that endorsement comes only if they publicly support the Big Lie? Look what happened to Mo Brooks for simply telling him the truth that he can't be reinstated. Look at all the "good Republicans" that have been chased out or are being chased out because they refused to go along with his delusions - people like Flake, Kinzinger, Anthony Gonzales, Bob Corker, Liz Cheney etc... Morality is seen as a negative now on that side of the fence - if you're honest with yourself. You know it's true.

Not everyone is involved in this 24 hour news cycle / social media garbage that you seem to be. Other than this board, I don't encounter references to or discussions about the "big lie" with any frequency.

This election cycle will come and go, the influence of that topic will pass and what will matter is if someone holds a more conservative or liberal view of government and the general direction their votes steer our country. The 24 hr news people and the twitter ragers get all twisted up in the news of the day, but most of it just doesn't matter. It's all political noise and garbage.

Holy shit, 36 million fake votes and you can't name one fraudulent Dem voter. And surely there would be a whistleblower that would have spilled the beans by now right?? I mean there was lots of reward money floating around - wouldn't someone step up to claim it? There would have been tens of thousands of people involved to do this without one of them letting it slip.

Dude, you are STUPID

We'll see but do you see any other conservatives on this board that align with your viewpoints? I haven't seen any of the others advocate for Tim Scott, Adam Kinzinger or Larry Hogan types(sans PAWrocka). Are they just afraid to admit they like the "good Republicans" or do they want to see the most divisive candidates in charge, aka DeSantis, Trump, Cruz etc...? You know the answer...

I’ve noticed this theme with you where everything is the left’s fault and nothing is ever the problem of the GOP or those on the right

it’s pretty telling

trump elected all his justices based on their politics, no? more specifically one issue? and they still haven't even figured out how to overreach into that aspect of life, yet.

I honestly wish the dems were as sinister and brilliant minded schemers as the right seems to believe they are

surely if they were this nefarious they wouldn’t have spent the last 2 decades getting absolutely owned by Mitch McConnell

We just flat blew it with the Marjorie Taylor Greene election. I knew we should have imported 100,000 more fraudulent votes, dangit. Unfortunately, I lost my internet connection to the voting machines in NW Georgia :(

Yikes. Rudy Guilianianiaana recently admitted in a deposition (you know, a place where you cannot lie without consequence) that his "evidence" of fraud in the election was just stuff he read on facebook. And you still believe it. Amazing.

Anything they can use to deflect on poor policy......

Do you really believe that the current inflation and gas prices we are experiencing are all because of Biden's policies? I thought you were a little smarter than the other mouthbreathers on here. Like I have said before, when those both go down, and they will, I cannot wait to see how fast you backpedal and claim Biden's policies are irrelevant.

Oh, and speaking of policies that have a negative effect on inflation, do you think this is helping? Of course, the whole point is to make inflation worse so they can blame it on Biden. It's disgusting.

Most people are glad there are a few justices willing to stand in the way of the right's culture war. If there were no checks and balances, it would soon be illegal to read a comic book and you'd be thrown in jail for using birth control. The ANTI everything forces have gone full on white Christian ethno-state but you probably approve of that I'm guessing. The red states are fighting each other over who can be the worst and it's disgusting. Thought you guys were all about freedom?

The piece which entertains me the most, is how you were Biden cheerleader #1 from the day he was elected (let’s pretend legitimately elected). Rah Rah, Joe! Lol

Biden has been disappointing on many fronts. But it is not nearly as bad as you and your echo chamber make it out to be. He is a much, much better option than his predecessor. You know, the guy who tried to subvert our democracy.

Remember, you spent eight years arguing that the country was on fire when Obama was president. It was "american carnage". And then a month into Trump's presidency, somehow everything was magically perfect again.

I pity you.

You can admit it. It’s okay.

I guess you and Willence should decide what goes in the columns huh? I'm sure you both know better than the ABA, after all, Tucker told you she wasn't qualified..

You're jumping to conclusions.

I don't know - and I don't care - what Tucker or any other news commentator says. And I have no idea who did that chart. My point is that one could be made similar to it that would make most of those Justices look good.

I will say that her career on the bench is impressive. But I don't GAF about where she went to high school or if she went to an Ivy League college. Or if she was a public defender.

with all the bullshit out there i'm actually very interested in this. do you have any sources that are legit? aba is questionable and demand justice is about as bad as GWP

I didn't know anyone would consider the ABA illegitimate so what organization would you trust? How about the long list of endorsements in the attached? Pretty impressive list.

What in the world are you talking about? You must not know anyone who is on the right or understand anything about any of the cultural issues people tend to care about. It would be humorous were it not so dangerous the way you have categorized and labeled a bunch of people based on your perception of them. We did that for a long time in this country. It's a shame you haven't educated yourself enough on history to understand how despicable this kind of talk is. I'm sure you'll respond by listing some wacko people. I can find those in droves on your side of the fence as well. I'm talking about mainstream ideology. There is quite literally nothing that fits the description you have given above. Nothing...anywhere....

Seriously man. Regardless of your views; you don't know the American Bar Association is a partisan organization? Really? They regularly shoot down originalist judges and their funding of Democrats in elections far outweighs their contributions to Republicans. They're allowed to be that way but let's not pretend they are not partisan.

HAHA. You picked a nut. I said no nuts. There are nuts on both sides. You quoted my post but clearly you didn't read it.

I will challenge you all day long. You just won't be up to it. Never wise to jump into the deep end of the pool when you can't swim. I said mainstream positions or policy points. You must have ignored that part. Can you find a mainstream push for that kind of idiocy? In fact, can you find anyone on this board who is a conservative that would support that garbage?

Dude, you may need a floatie cause you're going to drown. This was your last sentence!

"There is quite literally nothing that fits the description you have given above. Nothing...anywhere...." 😅

You are wrong and you call her nuts but did you notice she is "Trump endorsed?" Which makes her mainstream in your party now and sadly, a viable threat to win.

I'll jump in here and say I definitely support, and voted for Tim Scott. Too bad for him the media pundits and dems all but call him a racist as well. So are you the authority on who the "good republicans" are, lol? I have said multiple tines, I am not a Trump fan, per se. I voted for him bc he was the best bad choice, and would do so again. Every passing day seems to prove it was the right choice. Do I want a better candidate? Absolutely! However, I am going to vote whoever most closely aligns with my policy views and that is likely never going to be the democrat candidate even if the republican candidate is not very close to ideal policy wise.

This is now mainstream in your party

Then Oklahoma decided to one up them. This will spread like wildfire in red states because controlling the morality of other people is a Republican mainstream concept.

Yes, it was preceded by the parameters of what I was saying. I get it. You can't do it so you're going to just keep changing the game. For full context, this is what I said and you didn't disappoint.

Most of his endorsements who are nuts do not win. He has a good endorsement record because he endorses a lot of sure-fire candidates and then loses on his nutbars.

There is nothing that's mainstream with Republicans like the stuff we are seeing now from Democrats.

Stuff like the bill signed in Colorado allowing abortion at any time even up to birth. The language of the bill states the following: "Every pregnant individual has a fundamental right to continue the pregnancy and give birth or to have an abortion.”

Or this wonderful bill in California which aims to criminalize speech by doctors who have dissenting views on medical treatments the state supports.

And I could just go on and on with these kinds of things. And I won't even have to bring up the time a Democrat asked one of our generals about his concerns that an island might capsize.

what are some mainstream republican positions you'd like him to list? you know, you can always just take whatever the GOP platform was in 2020 and ask him to rebut those, then again there wasn't a GOP platform in 2020 because reasons...

I support a total ban on abortions other than medical emergencies. You give up your right to choose when you decide to have sex. Up until then, it's totally the choice of the people involved. After, they have a human life that is sacred and they are responsible for. No more choosing then. Sorry.

Last I checked, even in your backwards world murder is bad.

you forgot an operative phrase here about late term abortions only being acceptable when the mother's life is at risk after the 21st week

He makes accusations so the burden of proof is on him. He makes incredibly nasty sweeping statements about people he doesn't even know. He's a bigot and I am hoping to get him to realize that and change his ways. I doubt if you meet him on the street he behaves that way. I bet we could have a beer and get along just great. But when it comes to politics, his rhetoric is no less prejudicial and judgmental than something we'd see from a KKK member. At some point people have to realize that more hatred and judgment isn't what we need. That goes for me too because I have my places where I fall down as well.

Last I checked abortion wasn't defined as murder and wasn't addressed by Jesus. But because the white Christian ethno state wants to legislate what's right and wrong, we will be flooded with these kinds of backward bills. Culture wars are the best MAGA triggers

Yah, we should just forgive Presidents who plot coups that get people killed and attempt to take over the government illegally. Empty, narcissistic sociopaths are the way to go - am I right!!?
