Quit being simple. Lets look at Trumps 4 years. He had to fight against repubs and dems to get any little thing done his first 3 years. He had to divert military funds to start to build the wall which was never finished as Joe let the remaining unconstructed equipment sit and rust in the field. He only asked for 10B and was denied by repubs and dems when they have sent over 150B to Ukraine already and spent over 500B taking care of illegal immigrants. Trump started building the wall and then implemented the stay in Mexico policy that he made the Mexican president accept. Covid is not a significant reason that numbers went down at all and you are either not smart, or just lying for your cause when you say this stuff. The covid restrictions were still in effect in 21 so why the hell did the numbers explode under Biden right away? We both know the answer so dont bother coming back with some crap answer.

The covid restrictions would not have held up in the courts without, you know, covid. If he was not reliant on covid to shut down the border, then he must be the worst president in history if it took him three years to implement his strategy.

However, that seat in NY was Dem and it flipped to GOP last time. Biden won that district by 10 points. It's not a real flip though it will be portrayed that way. Also, Dems won the early vote something like 86-14 and then there was a bad storm on the day off. Morons in the GOP need to embrace all the ways to vote and encourage people to vote early so they can stop losing every time!
They have an opposite number on the left that is just as bad. At least pretend to have a balanced and objective view. MAGA voters are complete morons and members of a cult a this point. We see the a lot of similar things on the left but not revolving around one person so it is different in that way. But still... idiots! Those two sides combined make up about 40% of the country and are keeping us prisoners to this insanity when so many of us would rather move on and work together to solve problems. The House is filled with these people on both sides.

This district was re-drawn before the 2022 mid-terms to make it friendlier to Republicans so Biden's winning margin doesn't apply here. It was still a nice pickup with an eight point margin and reflects the trend we've been seeing in special elections and low-turnout elections, where Republicans traditionally do better.
The GOP deserved what they got there. They elected a criminal last time. No sympathy there.
As for low turnout, I think that's in the past now because the early voting Dems encourage has given them a significant advantage. Dems don't lose much when the vote turns out early. The GOP is woefully behind in this area and orange man discourages it which is moronic. But then, he's a moron so what do we expect?
They also essentially didn’t campaign or attend events, mostly bc the GOP candidate did not want to answer questions on abortion.

- Money - trump is sucking all of the money out of the local GOP election offices for his own legal fees. Now that his daughter in law will be head of the RNC, he is going to grift all of the money out that too.

Agree and I think the final nail for Trump's campaign might have been the statement about encouraging Russia to do whatever the hell they want with our allies. I'm quite sure there are many conservatives, and especially those that served in the military, who won't be able to get that out of their heads. Might be the worst thing he's ever said publicly.
I don't know if it is true but I read the GOP candidate was previously a registered Democrat.
