Official TI In-game Election Night Thread*******

Mcconnell holds onto his seat. Hopefully he will be the Senate Majority leader. That is more important than the presidency.

Looking like Trump will carry Florida which is great news.
Great news if you’re wanting a Trump win, obviously. Bad news if you were hoping this election would be decided tonight lol

Biden did poorly in Miami (relative to past elections at least). Seems the Cuban population down there has effectively turned the state red. Might be wise for Dems to move on from Florida and spend more time in Texas and Georgia next go around.

Biden doing much better than Hillary in Ohio in suburban areas...hard to know for sure with so many mail ins out and still a ton of red counties to go.

Like him or not, he has done more to shape the last 8-12 years than any President.

P.S. - I don't like him but he is good at his job.

Are the results reflecting mail in votes? Just curious with the narrow margins in FL if the US anticipates a wait and see with FL.

I wonder why Cubans are voting for Republicans? Maybe because they know what socialism brings...

I don’t think mail ins are a big issue in FL. That will be a bigger concern in the Midwest. Im kind of surprised they haven’t called FL yet. Maybe just being sure but it looks like a bigger Trump win there than in 2016 at this point.

Yes, that’s exactly the thought process behind why Cubans skew Republican. Thought that was pretty common knowledge.

Trump should be a little concerned about Ohio at this point.
Agreed. He may be ok there, still a lot of traditional red counties to come, but the trend of Biden way, way outperforming Hillary in suburban majority white areas should be alarming signs for PA.

Which is kind of the definition of a rhetorical question, which is what that was. The point is that if the people who have first hand knowledge of socialism don't want it here, then maybe the rest of us should listen.

As long as the US remains a republic, the only advice I’ll seek from Cubans will be about baseball and boxing.

Curious, what media is everyone watching?

I’ve been flipping around Fox 🦊65% WSJ, Twitter, PBS, ABC. Data is all over the place. exit polls in SC is really interesting.

i’m not really watching any coverage - just refreshing the map every so often

How likely is another split popular/EC vote?

is that bad for country?

Losing Arizona hurts. Gotta have Wisconsin, Michigan, and Penn now.

What makes you say that? This won’t be decided tonight.
I think he is going to hold on in NC. He will more than likely win GA. Things appear to be looking good in Wisconsin and Michigan. He wins those two and he probably doesn't even have to win Penn, but you are right it won't be decided tonight.
