And democrats don’t = socialists so my point still remains. For some reason, a large portion of republicans have recently been led to believe they’ve been bullied and Trump is standing up for them (by bullying the “other side”). This just isn’t the case and feeds into the growing division in our country. It’s when either side starts to believe that they’re against some evil across the table that we will destroy ourselves internally. There are some outlandish politicians with unacceptable views but, for the most part, the other side (no matter your political POV) isn’t evil. They just disagree with you. The President has to stand up for all Americans and not feed into this internal dissension. I promise the Russians and Chinese don’t really care who wins but they know that they can do the things they have and it will turn our country against itself. Russia interferes, dems want Trump ousted and republicans reprimanded. China interferes, the republicans blame the Democrats. These other countries don’t care who they “side” with, they just know that it will turn America against itself. They don’t have a political affiliation when it comes to Rep or Dem but they have an agenda and it seems to be working.

And btw, most of these issues you see on the media are just a diversion. There are more real and more imminent problems that we face as a country and they aren’t on Fox News or CNN.

I sincerely just wish you understood that this line of thinking is only feeding into the goals of Russia, China, and other real enemies of the US. I’m not taking your bait and getting lost in an argument that solves nothing. Years ago you would’ve argued that Medicare, medicade, the VA, labor laws, and many other programs are “socialism.” The term is pretty arbitrary but isn't it really determined by the size and influence/reach of the federal government? The only objective statistic I know to measure the size of the govt is spending and Republicans have, historically, increased the size of the government more than Democrats.

I’m not arguing right or wrong but how can you call the opposing party socialist if the party you’re affiliated with has grown the federal government at a faster rate over time?

I am not a republican and I am not a democrat. You told me dem did not equal socialist. You are wrong. Bernie has always called himself a socialist. He honeymooned in the USSR. The rest call themselves democratic socialist, but you just can't admit it.

Bernie calls himself a democratic socialist and no one else does. Warren is the next closest but she calls herself a capitalist. What you just said was either factually wrong or a lie?

Is Trump a socialist? Was Cheney a socialist when he said Regan proved the deficit didn’t matter? What about Reagan himself? And both Bush Sr and Jr?

Why don't you tell me who are these other Americans that I am fighting? What reasoning am I employing that benefits other countries and how. What best interest of America do I not have at heart. What am I doing that will cause America fall as a great superpower.

All I know is that if I was China I would do everything I could to beat Trump. And I am sure they are doing things to influence the election.

Almost every trade deal has been OK for the US and great for the other. I would rather things be OK for both countries because China, Europe, other large economies will overtake the US and that will catch up to our economy one day.
