Trez Harrell cured racism...

Yea, you let the “B**ch A** White Boy” call him the opposite of that, and he will be kicked off of the team, his family would be ridiculed as white racist supremacists and run out of their town in disgrace. But this is the time we live in.

I remember hearing an interview years ago by Al Sharpton who said black people cannot be racist. So you would be considered by BLM as being racist for making this comment, or thread title. Man it is just SO fun waking up each day to see what this racist world has in store for me. So I get up and work on my family tree on ancestry.com, and realize that this too might be racism, as all my ancestors (according to some) are all likely racists???
Black privilege. The ability to call anyone a racist without any facts and no one questions it.

My thoughts on this thread:

I'm not offended by what he said. He's probably jealous that he will never be near Luka's level as a player (nor will 97% of the players in the league).

I would be surprised if he was suspended for saying this although he should be IMO.

Black people can absolutely be racist just like everybody else can be.

Funny how some of the people in this thread are absolutely racist as you can tell by the history of their postings. No need to call them out because they know who they are as does anyone else who possesses an ounce of intelligence. This comment shouldn't bother you if you are not a racist.

I agree with virtually everything you said.

Though, there are many who would argue that black people cannot be racist. Racism is now defined as requiring prejudice and power. Since we live in a systemically racist society, black people are at the bottom of the power structure (with white people at the top). Therefore, since black people are at the bottom of the power structure, they cannot be racist.

Obviously, this worldview creates a very clear path forward for the betterment and the elimination of prejudice in society ...

systemically racist society

i dont think thats accurate statement

you guys are basically arguing that

our society is trying to hold back black people from reaching for the american dream

thats just not true

thats a lie

people who dont reach their version of the amercian dream is their own fault

not that of our society

you cant take the plight of the poor (all races) single out one race and tell society that its their fault

I think it’s racist. Personally, I don’t take offense to the term cracker. I think it’s ignorant and don’t give it power.

Harrell made it about race when he inserted the word WHITE.

In the NBA, Black is the majority and has been since the integration.

I would be surprised if black players dont razz each other if a white guy dominates them on the court. Even if that white guy is a great player with EQUALITY on the back of his shirt. Even if it is in another language.

all that should happen is for the outrage to be equal and start to get rid of the media double standard.

LOL you seemed to have missed the point. I don’t think anyone is offended by what he said...I know I’m not. It’s the hypocrisy and the racial double standard that people take issue with, and they should.

Define systemic racism and give a few examples.

No I didn't miss the point. I said I thought he should be suspended which is what would happen to a white guy if he replaced the word white with black. But there are people on here that are offended.

The problem is there was a single one way standard for far too long, and it has lingered longer than people will admit. And I am referring to people of color and females who were on the short end of the stick, and I think they are allowed a little more leeway in what they say.

what do white people have to do with people growing up on the corner of Kensington and Allegheny?

the first thing that comes to mind is

i want to go to school

how far is the school from that corner?

just curious- did white people destroy the school? move the school so far that kids cant get to it?

i guess the intended sarcasm of my last sentence did not have the intended impact on the overall post. Evaluating racism in conjunction with power structures is completely irrational and, more importantly, unworkable. It will only divide us further.

That said, to answer your question, there are elements of our society that are inherently racist. Sentencing guidelines in many states for crack vs cocaine is a glaring example.

Wherr did I say ANYTHING about white people?

Pretty sure the SJWs have built in their rhetoric that you can't be sexist or racist against a white man. The systems were created for him or some garbage like that

the systems were created by the men and women who had the money to create the system.

if you were not financially invested- you had no say

pretty simple

poor white folk had no say either

money talks

bullshit walks

but thats part of our problem

when you put money on one side of a scale-

put a mans labor on the other side

those with the money have set up the system to value the money more than the labor to make a profit for the risk of losing your assets

they attempt to value their money as much more valuable as they can against a hour of labor

easy to do because you can say

"anyone can do that job"

that erodes the value of that labor

and some would still pay $3.15 and hour if they could get away with it.

I said due to you saying that " if you can't achieve the American Dream, its your fault".. Nothing to do with race

hey but seriously

you made a statement zeroing in on the problem

growing up on a specific street corner

what can we do to get rid of this so called system racism that people other than black are hindering a child from growing up on that corner and gettting a good job?

Watched CBS News Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan today and the interview she had with the RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, and you could not design a more biased and disingenuous interview if you tried. Margaret Brennan has gone full idiotic and delusional with her so called journalism tactics. She was trying to trap Ronna McDaniel in about every question that she asked, and when Ronna McDaniel responded, she was continuously cut off. As a matter of fact, the replay of Face the Nation on CBS News 24/7, they removed (edited) part of Ronna McDaniel's replies.

Margaret Brennan asks a question and tries to frame it as it is (means) either this or that, with nothing in between or outside of the (her) margins, then when Ronna McDaniel has to expand the scope of the question or narrative, Margaret Brennan cuts her off and then interjects by saying, "so you are saying...such and such...?" She (Margaret Brennan) was trying to get Ronna McDaniel to say "yes" to something that she is not specifically referring to.

When I think that the liberal media bias and prejudice cannot get any worse, guess what, it does. The liberal Marxist left have in wholesale sold their souls to try to get rid of Donald Trump. All, and I will have to go ahead and lump "all" leftists (liberals) into the same box, have sold out their morals and consciences in such a biased and corrupt way, that they will literally never find their way back. As I said, they have ALL sold their souls. And I say "ALL" in that they have sold their own country, parents, children, grandchildren away in order to get rid of Trump. They have certainly caused me to hate more than I should, because I despise anyone who wants to destroy this nation and turn it over to Socialist Marxism and Fascism. Anyone, and I say "anyone" who wants to do that are not just destroy my livelihood and that of my children, but are also doing the same to their own children. They are essentially killing their own children, except doing it slowly and brutally by destroying their children's chance for a bright future.

See I disagree....giving any one race or gender more "leeway" in being racist or sexist is an overcorrection that isn't needed. What's wrong with everyone being treated the same and being held to the same standards?

Ahhhh absolute liberal BS. Look up the true definition. The "and power" was created by the woke to justify their distain for all things "white men." After all, how can they be racists right? Racism has nothing to do with who has power. It has everything to do with how you view others with different traits.

Go to Saudi and see where those of European descent are in their eyes.
