It was sickening - from going on a rant at the very beginning, assailing the ABC reporter, not answering any of the questions but just going off on a riff about things he wanted to say, questioning Kamala's blackness, lies, lies and more lies. OOF
Considering he was a democrat and supported African American candidates including Kamala Harris's campaigns in California twice it's not hard to see why.
Seriously though, saying that immigrants are stealing "Black Jobs" is t a good look or take. Questioning when she decided to "become Black" is also not a good look and surely isn't what his campaign hopes he would say.
Between Vance and this they have really killed their post convention "bounce" that a candidate usually gets.
That dude is just so incapable of acting like a decent human being it's mind bottling. I guess it didn't matter when he was running against Joe but now that there could be consequences to what he says and does, he proves what a disaster he is when he isn't facing a room full of his syncophants.
They didn't have to equipment ready and Trump only got 34 minutes. Good for Trump unlike Democrats, he went into a hostile environment and took activists questions. These people have been voting Democrat for decades and how's zat working out for them? Chicago should be a perfect utopia.
There have been multiple articles as well as a statement from the Harris campaign that they were scheduling an alternate date for her to appear.
Do you watch/ listen? They didn't give him hard questions, he's just really bad at not being racist.
He's done some terrible shit that he never has to answer for so he could have taken this moment to respectfully answer their questions and comfort their concerns about his past, but instead he chose to attack the questioners and avoid their questions altogether, while going on a nonsensical word salad rant.
Kamala has not done terrible shit so of course her questions will be different
You are desperate for your candidate to be seen the same as the opposition but he's not - he's exponentially worse.
It's such detachment from reality. I think they just have really started to believe their own lies. The propaganda has gotten so ubiquitous in right wing social media, that the propagandists have succumbed to it as well.
Mrs. Harris, we here at the NABJ have just one question for you. Are you Indian, or are you black?
This is like asking people in southern red states about crime/income/health/education metrics and saying they should all be top 10 in every metric since they've been voting the same way for decades.
People are moving down here at a record pace so we must be doing something right.
