If I were Buster and didn't do this, I'd sue media who aren't careful in accusing me.
I think Stephen Smith's death had a shady investigation. If a Murdaugh was involved in the death, though, I think it was more likely Paul or Big Red Ginger, not Buster.
Great interview with Mark Tinsley.... a bit long, but its full of good stuff. The host is an ex detective has lived in South Carolina.

that is wild...I have not heard that but last week I said to my happy hour buddies that I wonder if the people buying it will turn it into a tourist attraction or lease it to someone to make a movie.

It was just another series on TV but the team that worked for Dr Jason Bullon "Bull" won most every case looking at backgrounds and body language......

Except read the letter a few posts above. If the allegations in the letter are true, there are in fact witnesses like there were witnesses in the Mallory Beach homicide. No reason the witnesses won't speak at this point. The case has been reopened and they should come forward.
On the other hand, small town rumors make remarkable legends. I finished the book "Murdaugh, She Wrote" by Kathleen Hewtson over the weekend. In that book, apparently Paul Murdaugh bragged to classmates that Paul killed Stephen Smith. Given other information in that book, Paul seemed to be a psychopath (killed and tortured animals as an act of cruelty and not sport) and his parents were aware and laughed at him. Buster was more in line with AM's brothers and not like AM or Paul.
Guess we'll see where this goes because I would agree this was likely a murder.
Yeah everything I heard and read was that it was Paul that killed Smith. That Netflix series by FitsNews is the first I ever heard Buster named as the culprit
FITSNews has an article out today that includes this information:
“Significant progress” has been made in the investigation, we are told – although as I have previously reported that progress does not appear to be focused on any members of the Murdaugh family (at least as it relates to Smith’s murder).
Furthermore, sources familiar with the status of the inquiry have consistently debunked rumors that any “evidence” – or any other information – related to Smith’s murder was obtained from Moselle in the aftermath of the murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh. Those rumors are false
And a statement from the attorneys helping Stephen Smith's mother:
"On Monday morning, Bland and Richter were asked about Buster Murdaugh’s statement.
“There’s no reason to discuss Buster Murdaugh – and there’s no reason to comment back to Buster Murdaugh,” Richter said.
Moments later, though, Bland indicated the investigation was not focused on either Buster or the Murdaugh family.
“We have no knowledge of Buster or any of the Murdaughs having anything to do with this,” Bland said."
Eric Bland was just on Court TV, after knee surgery, from a hospital bed talking about Stephen Smith.

Even if Paul did it, other people were there and should be held accountable.
Note for this one is they showed how the shots attributed to the 5'2" shooter occurred. It appears that MM grabbed the gun and fought back.

Yes, I read that. Good point on the witnesses more likely to come forward now after Alex found guilty. Especially if LE has other evidence. Maybe a bat found on the property.
Yea, I am not a fan of videos to convey most information. Articles with the written word are much more effective.
I appreciate both. Video links & text. If I don't have time or interest in a video, I skip the post. As info consumers, the final decision with consumption is individual but why limit how others prefer to consume their info? Choice is great!!

Me either on a consistent basis....but when something in the video is visual based you lose out if you don't watch. Sometimes you have to see it like football film.
Yep. Kind of lazy “journalism”. Instead of conducting an interview and writing an article using selected quotes, some just turn on a camera. I do appreciate the completeness of a video since you get the whole thing.
