Interesting... I missed that.I think Alex calling the Rogan kid after the 911 call is the most telling
Who calls a kid about a dog after his wife and child murdered?
He wanted to know if Paul sent him the video update or not imo
A lot of transactions are recorded as $5...perhaps a Real estate lawyer can tell us why.paid 5 dollars for it to Boulware

My guess is that Boulware owed him for covering debt payments on jointly owned property and this is how Boulware repaid him (by transferring Mozelle parcels at a below market price). If you look at all the parcels Maggie owns/owned it seems that Boulware was paid about $466,000 for a group of the parcels, still well below FMV.paid 5 dollars for it to Boulware
it looks like eddie smiths brother is sitting behind himWho is the old guy sitting directly behind Alex?
likely a law enforcement person as a barrier between the crowd and the defendant - not much protection necessary because not a threat to escape -it looks like eddie smiths brother is sitting behind him
not sure if that is guy you are talking about
He’s losing Costner, Yellowstone will go to shit.Wow, that is some tale. This is a miniseries if there ever was one. Or maybe Taylor Sheridan can come in and give it the Yellowstone Treatment with multiple limited series.
"Hampton County 1939"
"Murder at Mozelle"
thanksit looks like eddie smiths brother is sitting behind him

Hadn’t thought of that but that does make sense. I have no legal experience but it seems that the prosecution is entering lots of significant and damning evidence but has yet to put any sort of storyline behind the information. I wonder when they’ll actually give the jury some concise timeline of their theory and how it all works together.ding ding ding
This is important and state needs to hammer it. Alex called Rogan five times. Alex had seen on Paul's phone where Paul and Rogan were communicating. He was desperate to reach him and find out if Rogan knew anything about Alex's whereabouts leading up to the murders. Alex needed this info in order to get his story straight before LE arrived. But Rogan never answered, Alex said he was never at the Kennels, and now he's ****ed.
Definitely. I guess I can see how pro athletes blow it by crazy expensive cars, jewelry, mansions, buying homes and cars for multiple family members, lavish vacations and trips to clubs on top of possible drug use and hookers.Drugs & hookers. I'll never have that kind of money, but see pro athletes blow 10 times that amount of money.
It’s been running on fumes since season 4.He’s losing Costner, Yellowstone will go to shit.
Male or Female hookers?Definitely. I guess I can see how pro athletes blow it by crazy expensive cars, jewelry, mansions, buying homes and cars for multiple family members, lavish vacations and trips to clubs on top of possible drug use and hookers.
But with Murdaugh there doesn’t seem to be most of those at play. I guess drugs and possible hookers and maybe lavish vacations.
Was the action of handing him something inappropriate or was it something else?Alex was drug tested today. someone saw a family member hand him something. Buster and Alex's sister have been moved from the 2nd row to the fourth, and warned next inappropriate action will ban them.
insanity defense?Case closed:
Chris Wilson just confirmed they went to Gamecock football and basketball games all the time and that the Murdaugh’s had season tickets for football basketball and baseball.
Being in annual depression from that forced him into opioid addiction.
Gamecock Athletic Department needs to be held accountable.
You can evade taxes by saying it is a $5 transfer, but you can't avoid taxes.avoid taxes
If anything could lead directly to insanity.....insanity defense?
Yeah, I totally missed that tooInteresting... I missed that.
I’d hire an expert psychologist who will testify that Alex has been a supporter of Gamecock athletics long before turning to opioids to address the psychological pain.insanity defense?
Yeah, I totally missed that too
Fathers murder their children all the time. When the PoPo walk through the front door and discover the wife has been murdered, they know her husband did it. Who thought the imaginary black man hijacked Susan Smith's car with two kids sitting in the back seat? (Certainly not the Gaffney authorities.)Alec needs you on that jury!
I agree it is hard to fathom a father killing their child, but look at the evidence. No need for him to lie about where he was to authorities if he was not trying to hide the fact that he was at the kennels.
Not a lawyer but from my experience these are usually quit claim deeds to family. They could also be signed over to clear a debt (which could have been the case with Boulware and Murdaugh).A lot of transactions are recorded as $5...perhaps a Real estate lawyer can tell us why.
Union authorities. But agree with the rest.Fathers murder their children all the time. When the PoPo walk through the front door and discover the wife has been murdered, they know her husband did it. Who thought the imaginary black man hijacked Susan Smith's car with two kids sitting in the back seat? (Certainly not the Gaffney authorities.)
I don't get all the people in this thread who keep acting like they cannot imagine how Murdaugh could have killed his son and his wife. Is that incredulity founded on the fact Alex is a white, college educated, rich guy lawyer? Never mind the obvious fact Alex's has years of known associations with a drug smuggler, dealt with crooked bankers and screwed long time friends out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Never mind the fact that when Paul was driving a boat while drunk and woman was killed Alex and Gramps went into major 'fix it' to protect little Paul. And what is with the people in this thread who keep wondering "what did he do with that much money in Hampton SC?" He bought lots of property, hoping to make more money. You know, with a little down and big dollar loans, then 2008 hit. He set up his hunting place like a low country Yellowstone. He owned beach property. How many boats did he g own. Perhaps he only had that one lady of the evening that one time.
Alex ought not be found guilty because of all the indicators that his lif was out of control, he was making terrible decisions regularly or anything thing on the side like that. But with the sort of lies and missing pieces of a poorly thought out alibi are surfacing, darn if I get all the folks who keep believing in and seeming did not do it. It seems pretty clear to me the people closest to Alex Murdaugh think he did it They don't like it because he was their friend and they cannot imagine it, but they now think he did it.
Fwiw, I don't think innocent or guilty is really consequential. Alex Mudaugh is spending the rest of his life in prison and there is not going to be a big hunt to find somone else to blame for the death of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.
This is a sad sad story of a man who could not get through life properly despite all the chips being stacked in his favor. I would hope his tale of woe would or could be a lesson to all of us who are capable of sins large and small. Unfortunately, it does not usually work out that way for everyone.
Complete trash. We already knew who Buster was with his being kicked out of USUC for cheating (which is quite a feat there) and then he and Alex plotting to pay someone at USUC to get back into school.Alex was drug tested today. someone saw a family member hand him something. Buster and Alex's sister have been moved from the 2nd row to the fourth, and warned next inappropriate action will ban them.
I’m sorry if this comes across rude in anyway but I’m definitely not gonna discuss in a semi public forum my thoughts on any of this. Over a coffee, beer or Diet Coke? No problem at all. As a matter of fact, I’d be glad to offer my 2¢ on the entire history of the family in the 2nd scenario. Bu the way the REAL Buster’s dad did not park his car on the tracks or try to commit suicide. I probably shouldn’t have even looked at this thread but I couldn’t help myself.I would love to hear your thoughts on the Stephen Smith case.
Alex’s Grt grandfather didn’t commit suicide or haphazardly park on the tracks. However, he definitely did die in a train accident.@murdaugh this is the story I was referencing and I stand corrected...it was big Red's great grandfather, not his grandfather. My apologies.
He’d died in a train accident but it wasn’t suicide and there wasn’t any note. You haven’t heard this before or you’re saying it’s bunk?
Then AM should bring the logs of that money out to dispute the state's case that his motive for the murder was related to financial stressors and to pay back his financial victims. Hidden money does him no good if he's spending his life behind bars. I think there's an Ozark element to all of this.I don’t think he is poor at all. I think he hid money bc of the pending lawsuits.
Someone with family wealth and making a million a year can’t be broke in Hampton county.
He hid money for the same reason he put everything in Maggie’s name
Not to change the subject but it seems to me that the prosecution is spending way too much time on the financial aspect.
It seems to me that they are painting a picture of a financial sleeze ball but that doesn't necessarily equate to someone being a murderer. They had to go through it twice because jury wasn’t present for the first one to see if it was going to be allowed. So that’s 3 days…
It seems that way because it was doubled
Word but really hard to do in small town South Carolina. There are only so many things and place to spend that kind of $$. All hell broke loose financially and he started robbing Peter to pay Paul is my thought. Seems like we’d be able to tell exactly where it went with technology these days. Sure he probably shifted and laundered some but there would be a trail to follow for the rest. Like he was constantly overdraft with the bank what was he spending 300-400,000 on to be overdrawn? They should be able to know exactly what that money was spent on and where the rest is/was. With all the $$$ they’re talking you better believe the IRS won’t let that $h!t slide. They’ll definitely put him behind barsDrugs & hookers. I'll never have that kind of money, but see pro athletes blow 10 times that amount of money.
