I really don't give a shit but he deserves to live out the rest of his life in prison or home confinement due to his actions since the election. The J6 case and the Georgia case are the much more important ones and if he gets away scot-free on those, then we can talk about a two-tiered justice system and mean it.

“Patriot Polling is literally run by two right wing high school students that is ranked 240th on FiveThirtyEight,” former pollster Adam Carlson noted on X, asking why that poll was weighted more highly than a YouGov poll, which they called “an internationally respected pollster that is ranked 4th on FiveThirtyEight.”
Some users believe that Silver’s methods of weighting polls are dubious, especially as his swing state calculated “polling averages” move in the opposite direction as recently released swing state polls.
Silver's now being scrutinized for a potential conflict of interest after joining the crypto-based gambling company Polymarket as an advisor in July, and pushed his model while promoting election betting opportunities.
“Feels like it should be a bigger deal that Nate Silver is employed by Polymarket, a site that allows you to bet on political outcomes, and also runs a “prediction model” that has the ability to directly affect betting behavior,” journalist Brett Meiselas wrote on X."

Ouch. Gonna be a tough day reading your own drivel @dpic73 .Ken, trust me, we're well aware that the majority of "this board" is conservative because most of them have roots or connections to ruby red South Carolina. But this board is not reflective of the country as a whole, by any stretch.
For years now, the loud and abusive conservatives ruled the board, with some of the worst venom I've ever seen directed at Obama. I even remember one poster openly threatening to shoot him on here.
The discussions here really aren't between Democrats and Republicans anymore because the GOP we once knew has ceased to exist. Now that Trumpism is the the main ideology on the Right, the arguments are more between people who believe in right and those who believe in wrong. We've seen what misinformation and Trumpism has done to this country and that's why you see us as loud, because we're not going to let your ilk control the narrative without a fight.

I mean, I'm not going to pretend I'm happy about it but I do have some analysis that I'll go into when I have more time. In short, the biggest lesson is we need to listen more to the people who voted because their concerns matter and maybe we did become too out of touch. I'm still taking stock but we have to learn from it.
Nah, my moral compass would never allow me to become a Trump supporter, but that doesn't mean I think all his voters are immoral. The people have spoken so I have to accept it - I just hope he doesn't wield his power too cruelly or irresponsibly like we expect him to. I'll try to keep an open mind if he does things that make life better for everyone, but I'm totally skeptical about it. We'll see

Trump supporters have been asking for yall to give him a fair shake for the last 10 years. We promise he is not as bad as MSNBC makes him out to be. He wants the best for America even though he may go about it differently than you would.
Democrats had a turn and now Republicans have a turn. I also hope Trump doesn't **** it up. We want lower inflation, no more wars, and to make America healthy again. Hopefully we can all agree on those goals. I hope Trump doesn't try to lurch as far right as Biden and the Democrats lurched to the left. If he does, there is no doubt in my mind Democrats will take power next cycle. On the flipside, if he can get the economy humming and handle the press, then he has a chance to cement Republicans dominance for a couple more cylces.
