Just so we’re keeping things in the proper context, at least 1900 minors abused by the Catholic Church in Illinois alone. If child abuse by trans folks is as big a deal as you’re making out of it, it shouldn’t be hard to find say…1% of that number nationwide of cases of csa by trans individuals. Let’s make it easier than that on you. Let’s do .1% and round to the nearest whole number. Come up with two and I’ll believe this isn’t just moral panic orchestrated by political ghouls.

In general, I would not want my young daughter to be forced to share a locker room/bathroom/etc with someone who is a male at school/gyms/ymca, etc.
I also do not think it is appropriate to force theses type discussions with elementary kids or have teachers telling kids not yet in high school that they might be trans/lgbtq if they are not comfortable with their body as a larger percentage of kids fall in this category who we know the vast majority of are not trans.
Would you be comfortable if schools brought in Catholic priests who explained to the kids that they believed they are committing a mortal sin if they have an abortion or live a homosexuals lifestyle? Would you consider that forcing a viewpoint? If so, why is the opposite not? They are two sides of the same argument. Just to be clear, I don't think either one of those discussions should be happening in class rooms, it is not the place for that. There are numerous examples of material/books being discussed in public schools about trans/lgbtq with children where it is not appropriate.

I was responding to a post that said the only people talking about trans is conservatives and that it is not being mentioned by anyone else. I told him that was not true and pointed out the fact that the majority of times it is brought up is a result of a company marketing it and pointed out the fact that the majority of protests were pro trans protests as opposed to anti trans protests.
You then posted a link to some "Nazi's" showing up at a PRO TRANS PROTEST- which kinda proves exactly what I was saying - thanks.
Just to be clear, I think the world would be a better place if that group of "Nazi's" went to sleep and never woke up again- but that was not relevant to the the point I was making.
I sometimes wonder if the sexual conduct of average Americans in the 50s, 60s, 70s until the present is the cause of what now seems the sexual craziness that envelopes our world. A great many of us completely rebelled against the reasonable standards of faithful sexual morality showing our own lack of propriety. Perhaps God is offering a glimpse of where such conduct leads?

This might not be you specifically but this topic feels very similar to the whole critical race theory saga. An entire nothing burger that people convince others is an absolute epidemic. When honestly if you just go about your life, you will feel .001% impact.

I think a separate non-binary classification is probably the most logical answer. The rules that the IOC have in place are an easier compromise and I think I could generally get on board with those. IIRC Lia Thomas wouldn’t have been eligible under IOC guidelines.
But I also believe that trans people are still people and the discourse around trans people in sport (and in general) is super toxic and dehumanizing and you can see some really shining examples of that in this thread.
