No, they did what they were supposed to. If Joe wanted to push back then he could have, but that is not CNN's or the hosts job. Just because Joe does not have the mental capacity to beat Trump does not mean that it is CNN's job to enter the debate.
Put up a better candidate if you don't like a fair fight. CNN, a far left conspiracy outlet, hosted the debate. Almost all the terms of the debate were considered to be favorable to Biden prior to the debate.

It is certainly an interesting question. Why age 55? Should it be every member of congress regardless of age? If an IQ test can be a limit what other limits are ok?

It’s tough to see someone totally unfit to be in office though.
The reason I chose age 55 for a Cognitive Test for Dementia . I had a family member ( my mother ) who started with dementia at this age and progressed to full blown Alzheimer's within 4 years and passed away at age 61. At that time (1985) doctors said it was very unusual for someone to start having dementia at age 55 but from my experience it can happen.
I have no problem with testing all officals/candidates or start at a certain age.
For those of us old enough to remember our SC Gov Carroll Campbell got dementia at a very early age.
There is a fine line between being senile and weird. I fear the rule could be used against "unconventional" candidates unfairly. The power would probably just fall to the deep state if not done correctly.
