County is about 18,000 maybe 20,000. Each town is less than 3,000. 35 miles from Beaufort. 75 mile from Augusta, savannah, Columbia and Charleston.
Heard today the kid was tied to a chair. That pretty well rules out suicide.

Hampton is 16 miles from Furman.
Collenton County had a bizarre killing a few years back with mayor ..... Reeves guy.....possibly the mayor or some public office
Preliminary reports were one thing and found out sheriff ( or deputy) set him up and murdered him.... lot of good ole boys in that neck of woods

All of this is horrible.
SHOULD, should a farm hand be dealt with this.....sadly, it wouldn't surprise me.
But it would sadden me more because, I think, I would never believe it.
Easy answer to put a much more intricate situation to put it to bed.

"Ok, so I had to delete the last post because it was premature, but the word on the street in the big-wig legal community is that the scenario goes like this:
Mom was basically fed up with the fact that her son was a murderer and she wanted to turn Paul in and go back to even including the nanny killing from years ago. Also includes the gay lover of his brother’s murder.
Not sure what transpired, fight, etc., but the son took one of the guns from the large gun rack in the kitchen of their hunting property and threatened to shoot the mom, then actually did.
He dragged her body to the dog pen and was going to try and blame the farmhands. But the dad came to the property while this was happening and saw his murdered wife, knowing his son had killed a couple other people, so he shot the kid with a shotgun a couple times.
That’s why there were 2 guns.
the guy who told me this has a bunch of pictures of the family compound, including the kitchen gun rack.

That's not true. Rock solid alibi but Randolph was in savannah at the hospital.

What's funny is, that "farmhand" in question was working at Alex's house today. It's not the farmland.

I believe you - and its only about an hour from the house to Savannah - but I 'm really surprised that's inaccurate given where my info came from.
Had to update this as Paul apparently killed the nanny as well. Pushed her down the stairs, blamed the dog, $500k settlement. I’m in disbelief.
Like I said, 3rd hand info from a lawyer that is apparently very close to the family in Hampton. Seems a bit sensational, but it was a juicy tidbit around midnight last night after a few scotches.
Not to make light of the situation @murdaugh family is going through, but this story is something else. I’ve literally been going back and forth between this thread and the one on tmb for the last few days. Hopefully the family gets resolution.
It's rather shocking there's not a suspect named or statement from police yet.
Sorry @murdaugh for your family's loss. This is horrible no matter what side your on.

My family is from there, totally believe it... live in Berkeley County now. Know of powerful people getting away with bull here as well. If there isn't solid evidence, people walk...the more powerful people are more likely to walk.
These are 2 items i am very curious about as well. The 2015 article from the mother of the son who was killed in the hit and run has comments where she does everything but directly call out the Murdaugh family by name.
SMH. Why tag me in a post to tell me you're sorry for my loss and then tell me Paul's a turd? I mean, do you go to funerals and tell someone "sorry your mother died but her sister was a bitch" ? I'm not mad, just mystified.
Honestly, no. Don’t want to sound like I’m on a high horse but would never, ever operate a vehicle drunk and would expect same for anyone I associate with. My friends and I had fun in those years but were all responsible about it.

I'm sure that he wants to disclose everything he knows about an ongoing murder investigation of family members on a football message board. This isn't like he has scoop on why a recruit didn't show up for the All In Cookout. Good lord.
I actually think that person on tMB was trolling. Kind of amazing how people will spread rumors so confidently without knowing, or being able to know, whether they're true.
I want every single detail laid out in a corresponding timeline.
